I wasn't sure if I would share this video with anyone. I knew I wanted the memories recorded somehow and I wanted the moment we found out who this baby was to be filmed.
But I also knew labor and delivery would be a long and hard process physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's hard for any woman, especially for those who have experienced trauma. Knowing your body is about to experience another trauma and not knowing how bad it'll be or how it will affect you mentally can be so scary. You can prepare and do classes and read every book and that doesn't take away the fear and all the "what if's" you think about once it's time.
So these pictures and videos of me aren't flattering, the filming quality isn't good, and my editing is definitely rough. But I still love it because it's the story of how we got our daughter! The moment I heard she was a girl after waiting a long 41 weeks is something I'll never be able to describe or forget! So thankful for my husband and our family for encouraging me, helping me through labor (and for decorating my hospital room), for the best midwife, and that God blessed us with a safe delivery and most beautiful baby girl.

One part is purposefully blacked out...When she was first born she was tangled up in the cord 3 times so it took a while for them to hand her to me and she wasn't crying so I was very nervous. Thankfully she was okay and just a very calm baby :) Just didn't want to relive that part of the birth every time I watch it.
