Frozen is a rushed franchise with so many problems and a third film had been announced to make matters worse, so let's dive into it.

To be completely honest: I think that Frozen 3 needs to happen. Why you may ask? Well dear rando who’s reading this, it’s because Frozen 2 was a mess of a movie that ended up leaving you hanging. Elsa leaves Arendel (probably spelled that wrong) to live in the forest for no reason, Anna is now queen, so seeing her rule should be explored, and the forest people were severely underused and we should see more of them, and the 2nd movie in general didn’t feel like a “that’s the end of the series” ending, but a “end of part 2” ending. I dunno, hopefully the creators have a lot more time to make the 3rd one and it won’t be as messy as 2 was. But we’ll just have to see
  • Honestly hope Frozen 3 actually fully focuses on Elsa and the World, and ditches comedic relief like Olaf or lessens his screen time, but who am I asking of course Disney would milk Olaf

Have you noticed: each Frozen movie & special has went through each of the 4 seasons: FROZEN: Summer FROZEN FEVER: Spring OLAF'S FROZEN ADVENTURE: Winter FROZEN 2: Fall

I think it could work if they make it about both of them living two different lives with their own "families" (Elsa with the Northuldra and the Spirits, Anna with Kristoff and the other side characters) and one or both of them are worried that they'll move on without each other. (Kind of like how much life changes when your cousins get married and you don't see them all the time like when you were kids or something.) And then they have to team up to save something or whatever while teaching the lesson that time with your family doesn't have to end because you're living your own lives now. BUT, they have a lot of "post Frozen 2" books and stuff out now that shows their separation at the end of 'Frozen 2' was basically useless. They can get together whenever they want and do so all the time, no problem, no discussions. We don't see the Northuldra at all too which is a shame because Elsa having friendships outside of Anna and her friends could be really fun to watch. So I don't have a lot of faith...

I hope we'll see someone with powers similar to Elsa but they use their powers solely for their own personal gain, unlike Elsa. Kind of going the "With great power comes great responsibility" route.

I think it could be good if they actually gave the people working on it time to breathe instead of forcing them to rush it out for the holiday season

I will never forget how back when Frozen 1 was everywhere in the mid 2010s, people started shipping Elsa with Jack Frost from DreamWorks Rise of the Guardians.

Sven and Maximus should team up for an adventure. I'd watch that.
  • I don't think it will, as someone who doesn't like Frozen, the first gave it out sense on it's own thing and completed the story, besides it flaws, while Sequel ruin the aspect of the first one, so I doubt third is gonna help.
  • Frozen was about separation and conflict between siblings that were ultimately resolved. Frozen 2 was about discovering the past isn't what you thought it was and the kingdom of Arendelle being built on lies and BS. Unless there's a new threat or more secrets in the family, what story could Frozen 3 have to tell? Elsa refusing to attend Anna and Kristoff's baby shower and that causes Another rift between them? By all means I hope the new team that works on this project has a Great story in mind and its wishful thinking, but Disney won't pressure them to work around their schedule.
  • Thing is: Disney keeps ending their huge hit films so solidly: Toy Story 3 and Frozen 2 very distinctly placed the main characters in comfortable, permanent places where its assumed they thrive. Then they decide to tear those endings open like a wound to get some more money for themselves while giving us a terrible epilogue film. How can Frozen 3 rip Elsa out of the forest, where Frozen 2 clearly and solidly expressed it was where she belonged and will be happiest? Can they finally decide on something useful for the literal future prince of Arendelle to do? How can you top a plot that not only uncovered the origins of the characters, but answers every question about them and presents no future threats?
  • I feel like it has somewhat potential but they need to focus on the best qualities of the first 2. The characters and music and the world building. No more Olaf questioning his identity Disney
  • @welfare_king
Nope, but that doesn't really matter. It's just an excuse to throw out a catchy song or two and introduce more marketable outfits.

Frozen was spectacular but extremely messy, and a self-contained story that didn't need a sequel. Frozen 2 is messed up. Some of the plot could have been interesting... but it's too contrived and lacking consideration. Given that Frozen 2 exists, Frozen 3 can ectually do important work to rehabilitate the franchise. But given we're talking about Disney here, let's be realistic, 95% that they will completely destroy whatever is left...
  • A good storyline for Frozen 3 would be an issue, where the sisters disagree on the solution of. Maybe having the trolls be villans, as they wisper different things to each sister. Maybe the issue would be, that now the Dam is gone, the water drowns the crops in Arendale and they begins to have food shortage. Anna wanting to redirect the water, which Elsa as a spirit opposes of as it is messing with nature.

The anagonist of Frozen 3 should be Samantha, the person Olaf mentions in 2. She could be another human with powers but corrupted by jealously or somthing. I just think it would be really epic.

I have my own plot theory for Frozen 3 if anyone is interested. And no, it doesn't involve Elsa having a love interest because I see her as a strong independent woman who doesn't need anyone in her life except only the love from Anna and her friends.

The only thing I will say is that I am begging for it to turn out well, because I didn't want to believe the Frozen 3 rumors were official.
  • @joshualowe959
One Frozen 3 does come out, Anna & Elsa are going to wear different outfits. In every Frozen movie & special, they change into different clothes.

I’m actually looking forward to this movie because the first Frozen is my favorite movie of all time. My only worries are that they might retcon Elsa to being gay, or that they might make it a completely soulless sequel like Ralph breaks the internet.
