In case you are wondering, that bird is called a Killdeer. Sandpiper was a good guess, but it's actually a Plover and the most common Plover inland from the beach. The 'dance' it was doing was to distract you from going near their nest. Nest is a bit subjective, they just make an impression in the rocks and drop their very camouflaged eggs directly on the rocks. So a few weeks later, there was 2-4 more mini Killdeer running around with their parents. Good game and great shot!

That was cool how it rode around that concrete and then fell into the water hazard! Hole 18 great view point and made it even better when Elisha got a hole in 1!!!

I played on this course a few years ago. It was a hot mess, the greens were mostly covered with various types of debris. The water wasn’t turned on, and on top of all that there was precious little shade on the course, and I played on a hot humid summer day. I ended up being a candidate for heat stroke but I’m glad you guys had a good experience there. Next time I’m in the area I think I’ll go give it another try.
