I had to laugh at "That column is just a straight-up tree". My house was built by my Dad and is full of beautiful wood supports. Our main floor goes all the way up to the roof, so we have a nice vaulted ceiling. All the different beams are full-on logs, and the ceiling, rather than being painted, is just wood. And the main floor is more of an open floorplan, so I'm currently sitting in a room with 27 visible logs.

I’m so glad that I’m not alone in boredom browsing Zillow. I usually end up just looking at the most expensive houses and go “oh thats weird” (I saw a house with a large room and in the middle was a tiny shower. But there was no drain. I think it was art?) or “oh wow that’s nice” (house in Utah literally had a full water park, and it was awesome). Also, if I ever find a house that is just absurdly priced…. It almost always has horse stuff. I don’t understand why, but people think that because they have horses on a property, the value increases 200%, it’s ridiculous. You should do a video on the houses in Texas, I saw some really cool ones when I was looking at buying out there. There’s a lot more space, but there’s also some coast, too. More ground to cover.
