Wow, what a wonderful review, I loved how you played along, and explaining the ending accompanied with your beautiful play, made me teary eyed. You have no idea how you were, well, spot on, to what Joost is trying to tell us. I hope Joost gets to see this reaction video. I loved how your students asked you to please watch the music video of Europapa. I'm Dutch and mega proud of Joost. Attending Eurovision was in fact his promise to his parents, when he was a kid he promised them he would, they passed away when he was 12 and 13 years old. This is in fact for him a moving on moment. Yesterday he sang it live in Amsterdam and with the last 2 lines you could hear he got emotional and the tears in his voice. He totally stole my heart. I'm old enough to be his mother, and every time I hear the last few lines I want to give him a hug. ❤🧡💙
  • Wow. You are the only one who got both the music and the meaning in one listen. Especially the moving on and conquering yourself. Your playing, analysis and positive character are a joy to watch. Your students are very lucky to have you as a teacher ♥️♥️

    Best reaction ever! C`mon Netherlands!

As a Dutch guy I can say that the underlaying messages in the lyrics and visuals are very deep. It's dark, it's bright, it's trying to move on from your past. Joost lost both his parents when he was a kid. His father taught him that borders are human made, and can be broken by humans. Also, as a kid, he watched the songfestival with his family a lot, and it was his dream to once perform in them. Though, now that he made it to ESC, his parents are not with him to witness his succes of breaking borders. Nothing offered to him can fill that void of losing your parents at a young age, it shows in the song. He is trying to move on in life. Something like this at least... Maybe I smoked weed and am making this up. Whatever. Have a nice evening!

And at the end you play the Sting number. He covered it as Friezenjung in a faster style.

Your reaction was so nice, from a teachers point of view. I enjoyed it allot and also where you explained the instrumental use in the video was mint. Thank your students too for refering to this video 😉

So glad you pointed out that the last notes are english men in New York only heard it when you played it, one of his biggest hits is a song made with a remix of English men in new york called Friesenjung. So I guesse that makes it full circle for him
  • @xentothemoon
Best analysis. I love to see you play the piano live while Joost sings. ❤
  • @jodesomviele2224
12 points to Joost and you my friend , great review and spread your sound around the world 🎉🎉🎉 just like Joost said there is no border… Work hard - Rave hard
  • @tomparry2671
Very Nice. Joost Klein lost his parents at the age of thirteen and in this song he explaines the rollercoaster he was in. The ending is the end of his rollercoaster because now he goes to the Eurovisie end sees this as a new beginning.
  • @JeanAlb
At the end in the video of Joost you see the Ukrain flag in the sky ❤ Great reaction the Netherlands loves Ukrain ❤

  • @AlexSeesing
FL Studio Piano Roll FTW!! Nice touch! I'm so glad you translated what you said because what you perceived is nearly spot on. And a very keen ear to the music. Did you jumped from the Europapa theme to An English Man in NY? Now I can't unhear it anymore.
  • @johannesnicolaas
He loved to watch Eurovision festival on the TV with his father and as a 12 year old kid he said to his parents: one day I am going to sing there!! And now it is going to happen. What a joy for us and for his parents on the "other side."
