The greatest pleasure for any guitarist, In my opinion, is to play this song

I hate the term 'covers band' - do we call the greatest orchestras in the classical world 'covers orchestras' because they perform music written by other people? No, of course not! We are going to need musicians like the Classic Rock Show to keep alive the fantastic rock and popular music written and performed in the second half of the twentieth century and right on up to today. A few of the great bands can still perform live but soon the original artists will be gone, and thank God there are brilliant musicians and producers/arrangers who can still bring the thrill of live classic rock to old and new audiences. Thank you guys and girls!

This last solo was the greatest mix of all the Gilmour live versions of this song. He picked key parts and put them where he (excuse the pun) comfortably wanted them to be. Stellar performance

Jesus Cole nailed that final solo, the best cover I've seen.

Not enough praise on here for James Cole, a superb guitarist, he nails every solo.
  • There are some songs which reach the level of "holy" in my opinion, and Comfortably Numb is one of them. The Classic Rock Show did an exceptional version of this song. Thanks guys.

That end solo was a master class, holy fuck. What a player, I can’t believe what I’ve just heard

That guitar 2nd solo is so so close to the original tone, goosebumps.
  • This band is gold for this time and generation. Also, thanks to the sound engineer. What a mix!
  • It's one thing to nail the studio solo, to nail the Pulse version is just magical. Well done sir.

Hats off to the Classic Rock Show. As an old bugger of 68 I grew up with Pink Floyd and it makes me so happy to see that the younger generation loves the music that I did all those years ago and still do. Mind you, as they say, you're only as young as the one you're feeling😎!!

I just learned that James Cole is also a racing driver. Talented bloke.

James Cole is the Master guitarist, he knows it, I know it.

James Cole never fails to blow me away on his guitar abilities. Keep on rockin it guys!
  • The best guitar rendition of a David Gilmore anthem if I ever did hear one! 👏👏👏👏
  • @steamalan627
Hope the dvd comes out, be a while before we get to see this cracking band again.

Since it’s common agreed knowledge that the Pulse solo for CN is the best guitar solo of all time, I’m proud of James for tackling that version and taking select parts from it. Absolute perfection
  • The guy with the acoustic guitar has an amazing smooth voice. Absolutely love it when he does the chorus
