Cloud’s love for Tifa was why FFVII happens. It’s not even bias, it’s a fact. He tried to join SOLDIER to be someone special to Tifa. And if he didn’t hear Tifa’s voice at the train station, he would’ve never regained consciousness. Tifa is the most important character to Cloud.

In the way I read the Gongaga scene, Tifa was telling Cloud that she never needed him to join SOLDIER because he was already a hero, which is so freaking sweet.
  • Tifa is like the wife who tells her husband slipping into dementia that he doesn't even have to worry about the things he forgets because she's got him. She's got Cloud no matter what.

Kingdom Hearts 2 even said Sephiroth is Cloud's darkness and Tifa is his light
  • Cloud and Tifa deserve a happy ending together in part 3 after Cloud’s mind gets restored and after they defeat Sephiroth.
  • The way the game treats Cloud and Tifa’s relationship made me think: Ok yeah this is the canon.

Their dynamic is so obvious and I think the devs made an excellent job showing it through body language and eye contact, esp Cloud's gaze at Tifa.

I guess the real Final Fantasy was a partner who accepts you and supports you through your lowest lows.
  • I can’t wait to see what they’ll do for the “Under the Highwind” scene. I would love the idea of Cloud and Tifa saying “I love you” TOGETHER (symbolizing how far they’ve come and the importance of their relationship).

It's also rather telling that Sephiroth is trying to sever this particular bond.
  • The crazy thing for me is that, in comparison to the OG, Rebirth (and Remake to an extent) really shouldn’t have had soooo many Cloud/Tifa moments. But I’m sooo glad they do. In the OG, it’s not until Mideel that you start seeing those moments with the 2. I’m excited to see how they expand their relationship even further. The way I see it, they are presenting their relationship as one that is “naturally” progressing: In Remake, they share a hug together. But Cloud hugs a little too tight, briefly forgetting his absurd strength (which I found adorable because this suggested he’s never hugged anyone, and was so focused on comforting Tifa he forgot all about his strength). In Rebirth, not only do they hug. They also hold hands, have intimate moments/conversations, and K.I.S.S. So far part 3, how do they take that to the next level? Simple. Tifa keeps her promise of helping him. Only for her to discover, Cloud never abandoned her, and was there in her moment of need at Nibelheim. And when Cloud finally becomes his true self… their relationship will skyrocket to the next level. See you guys in 2027 for Under The Highwind scene 😎

Tifa being grabbed by cloud as the stairs collapse on the tower before the plate falls - is the best shot in the entire series so far. It’s absolute magic

I've noted that Aerith seems to be trying to get them together, while at the same time jealous to have not had a childhood friendship like they have.
  • The developers are working extra hard on the story and working even harder on Cloud and Tifa’s relationship and interactions with each other for part 3.

Man no one makes character analysis videos like you man. Every time they’re so smartly delivered and so astute in their observations. And your editing just gets smoother and more finessed every time man it’s incredible. Every frame has a gag or a clever visual!! You’re just so goated man so proud of how far you’ve come. Thank you for being the worlds #1 Tifa stan. And thank you for wearing the tifa outfit lmaoooo

Great video. The development of Cloud and Tifa's relationship is one of the best alterations Rebirth made to the story. Moving some of the revelations from Part 3's Lifestream sequence to Part 2 was a great idea - I think it will make the story more digestible overall. I also appreciate the fact that you point to why Sephiroth can't just kill Tifa. If Sephiroth just kills Tifa, he would essentially martyr her - Cloud would mourn but eventually rise up and seek revenge. But if Sephiroth can first discredit Cloud and Tifa in each other's eyes, he can sever their bond and weaken Cloud on a deeper level, making him more vulnerable to Sephiroth's influence.
  • Cloud and Tifa’s relationship is going to be extremely important in part 3 and I believe they will have way more interactions with each other than in Remake and Rebirth combined.
  • Man, do you understand the assignment! And your humor and creativity make this video all the more worth watching. Very refreshing to see in a fandom where I constantly feel gaslit about this story (mainly Cloud and Tifa’s relationship) Thank you for sharing! 💕🙏💕

I think in the ultimania it is said that the Gold Saucer dates happen outside of the story (because they’re supposed to happen at the same time) but they took careful consideration to illustrate how Cloud would react to each person in the party, meaning each one is Cloud’s true feelings towards each person.

I just want to note I love how you seemlessly insert your self inside the cutscenes. they are brilliant.
