First Tier? Third Tier? Why is Shenzhen in my opinion the best city in China? Especially since I've been all over China and seen all of the biggest and best, as well as the rural and the small cities and towns, well here are the definitive reasons as to why I still think that Shenzhen is the best city China has to offer.

As someone who grew up in HK I can’t sympathise with your complaints about expensive rent

In the 3rd tier cities, the people are so much more laid back and chill. Stuff is cheaper. Locals are more friendly and genuine. If some guy comes up to you in a 3rd tier city, they're probably just curious about you and want to see what's up with you up close. Unless maybe a KTV...haha. Whereas in 1st tier cities, people are more rushed, arrogant, and usually have some agenda. When someone comes up to you, they want something from you. Usually, to buy some real estate, join some membership, or invest in some ponzi scheme. The worst is when you get approached by some pompous guy in a suit and camera filming you to STAY AWESOME.

I live in an ocean-view apartment (170m2 with three bedrooms) in Xiamen. The landlord recently raised the rent from 4500 to 4950. I was of course upset but after hearing how much you pay I feel much better now. Thx :D

  • Whilst everyone else is wearing a bathing suit, Winston is wearing a business suit. Now that's what I call professionalism.

Prozzie & Winston looking like two really shit hitmen here - Winston being the responsible one & Prozzie being the one who shoots the wrong person, thus getting both of them into deep shit. I feel a screenplay coming on.
  • @AsiaMartin
You are helping a lot of people with your videos and you helped me learn about Shenzhen. I wish I could have met you while I was there, but it is what it is. I hope this platform takes you far, keep it up!

Ningbo is an up and coming city too. I saw it graduate from 3 to 2 tier. Nice to see the discussion.

I love this video! It's such a rare treat to see Winston & Prozie working in the same video. Prozie take notes from Winston professionalism to improve your vids, he's a master craftsman at video capturing, editing and portrayal.

I feel that 3rd tier cities are more relaxed, even if they are massive. However the 1st tiers (Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing) people seem to be more rushed, faster pace of life.

Thanks for this one Serpentza & Prozzie. Some of our teachers and students are going to China for a school trip and this will be interesting for them. I always enjoy your videos and Prozzie, as a fellow Canadian, I get your sense of humour and you always make me laugh - which I really appreciate. Cheers guys - I look forward to the next video as well as the release of Concouring Northern China.
