Semoran Skateway - Memorial Wknd '21 WESKATE Shuffle skate

My life in the late 70's was on quads at the rink every Friday and Saturday. They call for all girl's skate and it was time to hook up the shuffle train with myself in lead! Best times of me life! I told my kids my bucket list #1 was to go to the rink again and THIS YEAR ON MY 57th BIRTHDAY my daughter surprised me with a brand new pair of Impala roller skates and a Saturday afternoon at a awesome rink in Fort Myers, FL. I had the time of my life I shuffled for 3 hours with zero falls!! What an amazing feeling to go back in time after not skating for more than 20 years! Now I lace them up every chance I get! 3 children and 8 grandchildren and getting my shuffle on?? Yeah I'll keep rolling till my wheels wear off or I break a hip lol! Thank you for the amazing footage I felt like I went back in time! If you only knew how much watching these videos gets me up and going to the park in town just to shuffle on the tennis courts haha! 🥰💓

The most amazing part to me is how you film these folks- i been to Semoran during an adult skate and them people are TRUCKIN! I dont know how you stay in front of them with a camera turned and pointed at them! Kudos to you bud, that some quality work!

I love watching the skaters….so talented. I could barely stand up on skates and I’m so envious! I’m 76 now and had a hip replacement so a fall would probably kill me but I enjoy seeing people who can skate well.

I'm now way to old to start skating again but still have dreams when I used to skate, but I love watching those vids, to me it's the closest thing to flying, hey kids never get old

been watching a lot of rink vids from Korea ,what a different style from US rollers ! in Korea skating backwards is the groove and making trains. those guys are as fast backwards as these people are facing front. all good fun !

I was at this event all the way from Atlanta. This is now my favorite rink, nobody can compare this to anything unless they have been there. Non stop as fast as you can go for as long as you can and everyone knows to move from the outside lane.👊👊👊😎
