Scale pilots never disappoint on delivering pilot error mishaps. In order to learn to fly in iffy wind conditions you have to... fly often in windy conditions. RATHER then stay home and build get out your beater sport plane out on a crappy windy days and master the needed skills THEN you'll be better prepared on Scale Show day when the wind is up.

Exciting and fun to watch at the same time sad at the loss and damage to some beautiful models. Been there done that
  • Bugga those lower wind turbulence 🙃...beautiful planes !!! 😁😎
  • The replays are really annoying, other than that. Good video.
  • @tahevol
    amazing variety of nice planes

Some lovely models... Shame people don't, can't or won't practice crosswind landings. Don't think there was one stable approach in the entire video 😱
  • @rooms1028
The Ventures style music is a great touch.
  • A stabilized approach is usually the solution to most landing problems.

Sad to see so many pilots don't know how to land.....most are either too high, too fast, or both....and none can figure out that its easier to go around and try again, as most just force the aircraft onto the ground.....clearly have more money than brains
  • Some beautiful planes some questionable flying, but 95% of the hobbyists went home with their planes in one piece. The worst part of the whole thing was the replays and a soundtrack that reminded me of a 3 ring circus. There were some beautiful planes that showcased the artistry of the builders.
  • Wonderful models here, especially the Bristol. Exceptional. Some unfortunate manoeuvres though.

Yea good vid but expecting to see Clint Eastwood to appear over hedge with that spaghetti western music in the first half.😅

At 13.07 minutes the plane has its ailerons full to the left and not to the right, which it should do with crosswind...just a bit more practice landing.😉 Around 1975 I was an RC flying instructor near a model airfield near Amsterdam (Netherlands) with, among other things, a Piper J3 with a 35cc Moki engine, but also a delta wing (from Graupner) with a 6.5cc WEBRA speed engine on the back and reached speeds of 250 km p/h.
