Stunning Small Cabin & Homestead In The Woods Of Vermont

Published 2023-09-29
There are very few things in life that sound quite as idyllic as a cabin in the woods and this beautiful home in Vermont is a perfect example of just that. Katie and Drew are two wonderful people who have masterfully escaped the rate race and instead chose a simpler and more fulfilling way of life for themselves by moving into a remote cabin.

Their Cabin stands amidst a spectacular woodland setting, surrounded by nature and their own abundant vegetable gardens. Here, they can spend their days growing their own food, connecting with nature and with each other.

At their cabin, life is simple, slow and intentional. We hope you enjoy this cabin tour!

Who’s ready to escape to an idyllic cabin in the woods? Katie and Drew have found the most beautiful home for themselves here. Their gardens are incredible! We hope you enjoy the tour of this wonderful cabin! With love, Bryce & Rasa

I so appreciate that you show homes that aren't necessarily tiny, but share the same principles of living simply!

I used to watch the Internet news before bed then have nightmares. Now I watch several episodes of Living Big in a Tiny House, and my faith in the future and good people has returned! Bryce and Rasa, I LOVE your shows, your outlook on life, and all you do! Keep up the good work. I, with sooo many others, will be here watching!
  • Whilst I do miss Bryce's enthusiasm I do love how you get your videographers overseas to film in your recognisable style ❤ I love this wonderful place, the upstairs and those gardens are amazing ❤
  • It was much more spacious than I thought it would be. And it was very inviting and warm. Really nice set up.

Absolutely love this home. I live in a cabin that used to be abandoned in the woods. As a kid, I fantasized about having a large house, but now that I've lived in a little cabin for 10 years, I would have no use for more space.
  • I love that you’ve included a tiny-ish home. As property owners that have looked at a the option of a THOW, we find them to be a depreciating investment. A small home on a true foundation actually appreciates in value, so great to see some of these options. Looks like they’ve found themselves a terrific, tiny-ish home.

Beautiful place, home and video! We live in a little (450 sq feet) home on 7 wooded acres in northern Idaho. So many people have said they can’t imagine living “like this” - being with their spouse all day and also living 30 miles away from the nearest small town. We just smile and say …. then it’s a really good thing you don’t. 🙂. We love it here. All of it - a paid off small mortgage, no debt, nature all around use, time, togetherness, simplicity. So grateful! Thanks for this lovely video!
  • What a lovely cabin and the land is beautiful. Perfect setup. Simple living is grand!
  • It's wonderful that you have an actually house featured in this episode. It's perfect for two people and with a beautiful setting.

For sure, did not expect the roominess of this lovely cabin ! It was a joy to take in the gardens, the outdoor tub and fire pit, too. Kudos to this fascinating couple and their living choices . 👍💕😊

Wow, I wasn’t expecting the look of the inside! Really nice

🇱🇰 Aww as fellow Sri Lankans currently living in Canada, my husband and I are counting days to go back to home country to live that simple life again. I am happy you guys finally found the lifestyle you wanted ♥️♥️

Thanks everyone for your kind comments! I'm here to answer any questions :) The house is roughly 15 x 28 feet!

As soon as Drew opened his mouth, I said to myself ok an Aussie, Im here for it!!😊 I love that Aussies get out there and do this cottage/tiny house lifestyle outside of Australia. It's wonderful to see and hear how it's all going for them.
  • @lunerlilly
This is why I have said to people that Tiny homes are just new age cabin living. And there is nothing wrong with it. 😊❤
  • @dellaamelia3373
Oh, I love this monolog variation!❤ thank you so much Bryan and Rasa for putting so much effort to make such enjoyable videos❤❤

Small cabin, rather than a tiny house, ABSOLUTELY!!! Way to go. We have done this too and love it. We did the big house, 5600 square feet, pool, circle drive, woods, big yard…no more. We live on 1/4 Acre, on the Little River, in 1300 square feet, much better.

Hello, from Canada. Katie and Drew, you are absolutely right about the importance of an entrance/mudroom. It becomes even more essential when winter hits - to keep from tracking snow through the house, and having a place to hang bulky clothes. I wonder if you have a place for cold storage where you can keep the vegetables that you harvest. The whole place looks so idyllic.
