  • Dear Krish..hello from Mohan in Udupi Karnataka...i wanted to know about commercially available pickles that contain class II preservative INS 211..are they good? there is a company called Presto in Mangalore in Karnataka which is generally well respected for quality..i have the raw mango pickle made by them that has shelf life of one year...i eat pickle very rarely...but now after listening to fermented food benefits thought of using the same one teaspoon everyday with breakffast or dinner..only once..What is your opinion? it is oil based pickle and contains lots of spices and herbs not very spicy just nice taste..
  • Store bought pickles are not fermented. They are just directly made in acid. They don't have the bacteria
