This game has the best Twitter warfare in college football

I think the real winners are ones that just go out, have fun and make friends along the way

To steal a line from Spurrier, “the good news is one of them is going to lose, the bad news is one of them is going to win.”
  • I’m a Michigan State fan living in FL so I have no dog in this fight, but I will definitely be at this game and enjoy the entertainment

If this game was after Week 2 or 3, I would be very cinfident Miami would take this. However, with a new QB and so much new personnel, I am afraid they will not be in week 1 what they will be.
  • This could go either way but Cam Ward is playing his first game with a new team while Mertz is seasoned and has full control of the offense. Both have talent. Both coaches are in year 3 and while a single game doesn't a season make, the loser will be on the "fan hotseat". Both defenses will be better. Most things being equal, Florida plays in the Swamp which will be rocking with a stable and experienced QB. Unless Florida gets a penalty for having 2 players with the same number on the field, Florida wins.
  • Over half of Miami's roster are new faces. With it being game one in the Swamp, it's gonna matter. Miami's had better ranked classes in the last three years, but not by much. Miami is not likely to win this game.

If Miami is in a good program state, there's no reason why they can't win 9-10 games this season. In comparison to UF's schedule its a cakewalk. But I feel like that puts much more pressure on the Canes to perform and being in the Swamp will be the edge that Gators need to win this thing. Napier has his people, and its time to show the world.

I will be at this game. My first time at the swamp.

This game probably gonna be the best game week 1 ngl … but I think Miami wins in a close one 38-35 gonna be high scoring fs

I think the turning point for Florida is week-3 against aTm in Gainesville. I think they matchup really well against aTm and I actually have them winning convincingly that week and likely changing the narrative around Napier. Miami is huge no doubt but I think w/ Florida’s tough schedule they have more opportunities to change the national perception even if they lose to Miami.

The sparkle Josh gets in his eye when he mentions his man-crush Mario.
  • I can garuntee that a team from the state of Florida will lose in this game
  • @natlovell122
Good QB matchup wk 1, I think people forget how good Mertz # were last year. Can Ward is a natural leader and hell of an athlete and he’s gonna have more weapons around him at Miami then WSU last year
  • @knoxgothoes4471
Miami going to win in the trenches and that’s gonna play a huge factor so they’ll win
  • Lot of people in here forgetting that this is Ward’s first game in Cristobal’s system…
