Weird Rocket League FPS issue in windowed/borderless.

I had the same symptops as shown in the video Found out a solution that worked for me - if VariableRefreshRate (VRR) is enabled in my monitor settings it will cap fps for all windowed applications to VRR range (165Hz for me) Disabling VRR on monitor instantly unlocked FPS cap in game in borderless

I was searching about this and found your video. If you set the FPS to 250 it will drop to 143ish, but if you set it 249 or anywhere below that, it will stay where you put it. I'm not sure why if you set it to the 250 max cap it does this.

I get a similar issue when I play on full screen. I play with a controller. I have a G5 laptop I got last year and I Play rocket league around 150 fps like you. maybe 2-3 times a game my fps literally shits itself dropping down to 5 fps or less and it lasts for about 15-20 seconds causing me to lose multiple games in a row. when I am in free-play this never occurs. before this I had a problem very similar except my internet would "Disconnect" and i would lose connection to the game. this can become very aggravating. What I did to fix the internet issue was go to my network connections. right click my Ethernet and go to properties. then I go to configure and then advanced tap. I changed my speed & duplex from auto negotiation to 10 mbps half duplex. if you have any idea as to why the fps drop occurs or you know how to fix it please reply. :)
