Woooow. Why does there not exist more like this? I mean why isn't the world full of this? Now I feel lame for making a realtime Mandelbrot renderer... This is the next step! Thank you for the inspiration!

Just want to let you know that you are an awesome guy. I want to thank your for your excellent homepage with many cool inspiring papers and especially the big list of distance functions you provide there. I'd say your page is the No. 1 entry point for SDF-Raymarching. Thanks
  • This is incredibly beautiful! Thank you for doing it. Interesting how these pure mathematical shapes resemble plants or other natural forms.
  • @Polygarden
Great work! Best fractal visualization I have ever seen. Super smooth rendering and very beautiful color palettes!
  • @VermontStrolls
Wonderful. A genius artist, mathematician and coder. Thanks.
  • @krytharn
Love it! But... HOW?! Transparency, smooth curves and shadows, maybe even some GI... You're a wizard, Inigo.

This video is truly incredible Inigo. Well done to you and the team. It fills me with determination to write a custom shading model in Unreal for raymarching so that I may make cool visualizations like this too. Also appreciate all your work in raymarching and SDF literature over the years. An inspiration to us all. Thank so much!

A different perspective unfolds the true underlying hidden beauty. Fractals are truely unique masterpieces of mathematics!!

Beautiful as always Inigo, Until I looked through the comments section I was convinced that this wasn't in realtime! Transparency, multi-sampling, self-shadowing and DOF. It all comes together and looks amazing!
  • @RostamiMagic
Just GORGEOUS! Thank you for creating such beauty at this time.

Astounding. God dang. I really need to engross myself into Julia
  • @iestynne
Very excited to see the lighting code for this one! Just gorgeous...

Incredible renders! By bisecting the 3D forms, you are essentially revealing the 2D form within. You could also think of the tubes extruding below the plane as a motion trail in time. Or a n-1 representation of a 4D space-time trail :)
