Gary Rodehorst, code enforcement "officer", stalking and harrassing residents?

Fraudulent fines and attempted robbery!

Attempts to fine them for $4520.00 for a tire that was low on air? Even if it was completely flat, is this the purpose of government?

We wonder how much work this taxpayer had to loose to waste his time in Code Enforcement Kangaroo court.

What a waste of the courts time! That inspector should be fired. The most disgraceful attempted extortion I’ve ever seen.

Anyone trying to fine someone 4500 dollars for a supposed "flat tire" should be banned from any job where they have that kind of power, and probably do some jail time too.

Power in the hands of small men is used as a weapon to make themselves feel big.

Total harassment. The "code enforcement guy" should be the one who is find for raising everyone's time with frivolous BS.

Imagine having a flat tire cost you $4500 and it occurred while parked on your own private property.

It's amazing that people can happily go to work and deliberately do their very best to make other people as miserable as possible.

Years ago while living out west I bought a project car. I was working on it in my driveway. One day and a code enforcement officer stopped in front of my house and had a tow truck behind him. He said my car was not insured or registered and he was going to impound it. Long story short; guns were drawn, police were called, and about an hour later I was back working on my car.

Whoever said, "Imagine a world where your tire loses a little air over night and you wake up to a $5000 fine over it?" What child prayed that prayer and then grew up and became a code enforcement officer and made that a reality?
  • The fact that they’re even in “court” debating this is an unbelievable joke

Never ceases to amaze me that the tiniest perceived power can utterly corrupt someone into believing they actually have power

Have you ever come out in the morning to go to work and have a flat tire? I guess these officers think that is worthy of a $4520 fine. Unbelievable!

We have people looting stores, shooting each other and they're chasing fines for HOAs. Ridiculousness.

"You can clearly see the truck has a flat tire." The only thing that I can see clearly is that this enforcement officer is a liar.

Imagine how much money the city wasted to pursue this. That "code" enforcement officer needs to be fired for this.

The fact that this happened embarrasses me as an American. This is pathetic. I'm so glad that a sane person dealt with this is a reasonable way but the fact that it went this far is ridiculous. The fact that the guys in the red shirts feel like they are "doing their job" and "making things better" is painful to watch.

You just can't give some people any authority, because it goes right to their head, and they turn into an authoritarian. Not much different from law-enforcement hiring psychopaths.
  • "I can't see what's behind the fence".. That's because what's behind the fence is none of your damn business
  • @TommyRibs
You want to get a clear understanding of someone’s character? Give them a little bit of authority, and see what they do with it.
  • @viewerfrom1984
We have a similar problem here with the inspectors harassing the poor and elderly with fine upon fine. Even the city has started to get annoyed with the inspector.
  • @Timotheos-td7mq
WOW!! 😳 do we really want to live in a police state like this 🤬
