Why don't you make a video about the differences between videographer and filmmaking and cinematographer?
  • @stspickleball
You said your key light is at 5500k but you didn’t share what your backlight is set to or your fill light 😊. Lastly, do you use a 1/8 mist filter? A response would be freaking awesome! Thanks for the vid! Super great!
  • @kurtisca
Awesome video, legitimately good advice and not a bunch of fluff!
  • @Thirsty_Fox
Good lighting setup and colour makes all the difference, much more so than which camera body or lens.
  • @OreApampa
This was such a beautiful tutorial. I learned about the mist filter for the first time and it makes such a difference. I might get myself one. You didn't add it to your affiliate links though.

Good tips in here off to check out the Masterclass as it is bound to be good from the Master ! :_viking1::_viking4:
  • Interesting video, it can be tricky to get rid of shadows on faces on outdoor video without light.

This video is tacos in my belly good. 💯🌮💡

Thank you for this!! I’ve been doing research about lighting for over a month now and ended up in a rabbit hole of items to buy. You hit the mark in answering all my questions! Can you link the products? Like umbrella size and the equipment you used? I want to take senior portraits for my daughter, rather than outsourcing it. Much love to my Icelandic brother!
  • Ok that eye light and the mist filter for talking head shots somehow blew my mind! :D Thanks as always for sharing my friend :) I still have a very basic lighting setup: one light and one shower curtain. Have to setup every time when I want to shoot at my kitchen table, but with two small kids I don't have space for a permanent shooting space, so I do my best to get these videos out with what I have. But I will definitely try your mist filter tip!

Very good timing for this video :) Been looking at getting the godox SL100BI (need the variable Kelvin to match up with some other stuff), but: my question, when using the SL100D with the placement of the light you have in the video, what strength are you running it at? I’m torn between the 60 and 100, and knowing me I will pretty soon find that the lowest powered version (60) probably is gonna be a bit weak.
  • @danidah
Which lens are you using here? I went back and not sure if I missed it or not specifically mentioned.
  • Cool video! I tried to purchase your YouTube Studio Masterclass, but all the links redirect to the same page so not actually sure how to do the checkout process :)
