A Red theme that does make you remember while listening to it "Oh yeah, this is you in gen 1. The guy who took down the mafia and the strongest of trainers, then after the events of gen 1 decided that MORE training was the only way to go." Very well done, you captured the true power that he lore wise embodies in musical form.

I’m 36yrs old. I’ve been playing since I was 14. Red to me will always be the ultimate trainer(cuz really he’s just all of us). He did it for the love of the game and ended up being the most bad ass of all time. Cynthia can sit this one out. This is epic dude. Thanks.
  • @fakeuzero
Red is a legend among all trainers in pokemon games. Cynthia is strong and formidable, but Red has something more. He is the very aspiration of what every pokemon trainer wants to become.
  • I see a lot of covers go into the whimsical side of this theme, its really refreshing to hear done so dramatically and played completely straight.

This remix exactly depicts how we feel during the battle with Red. A strong presence standing atop Mt. Silver, the strong aura radiating, producing chills up your spine. Feeling helpless as we climb to the top to find out a person who went missing without a notice. The unexpected dread and power coming your way with one of the greatest trainers in the history of Pokemon. Absolutely love this remix! Hope you do more Pokemon remixes, I love pokemon osts and your remixes make them even more epic!
  • The most intimidating words spoken by any boss in any game that I've ever played: "..." Pokemon Trainer Red would like to battle!

RED: Sends out level 88 Pikachu. 12 year old me: I see my Pikachu has ascended and is doing well.
  • @LocalHornyGuy
This is what you hear when you start the battle with red, leading with your level 87 thyplosion and a full team of untrained legendaries, just to discover a full team of pokemon, with perfect ivs,ev trained, with the perfect natures, with the best coverage moves and items that only make whats already hard harder

The Red in the games is a Power Fantasy and it does that very well - but the Red from the Manga is on an entirly other level. Red survived a War against the Elite Four were they literally started multiple attacks on citys in entire Kanto to extinguish Humanity. It took multiple Main Characters to even go up against one of the Elite Four with a shred of hope to defeat them. Red took them on 1v1 like the G that he is. They feared him so much as the single greatest thread to their plan that they ambushed him and frozen him solid on Mt.Moon before they executed their plan because the was he only Trainer they ever feared to stop them.

As a massive fan of both classical music and Pokemon I heacily approve of this cover
  • "There is a place, far from here, beyond the Indigo Plateau, beyond the civilization we humans have built, where only the most dangerous Pokemon roam, all but the strongest and bravest avoid it, and even some of them rarely return. Their wild and savage nature best all but the mightiest. But it is said that those who survive the journey will come face to face with a mountain, a mountain upon which the peak pierces the sky. A mountain that goes on for what seems like an eternity and at its summit, he waits. He waits for those worthy enough merely to face him. He waits for those who dare believe they are flawless, only to be taught how mistaken they have been. He humbles those who believe that just because they have bested the gyms, they are untouchable. He shows those who have attained the title of champion how empty that title is. His name is Red. And he does not lose." - Blue

Dude, this is epic! Listened to this with my eyes closed and visualized an intense intro between trainers before an epic Pokémon battle! I now what a version like this for Cynthia but as a mashup of this with Red; when two titans collide!

Let me speak as a person who lived the Pokémon games since his childhood. Either you grew up playing Pokémon or you start playing the franchise from Red, Blue or even better, Yellow or you can't fully understand the feeling, the fear this battle meant for most of us. You started as Red. You knew the struggles, the pain and courage it took to become the Champion. You played those games for hours leveling your Pokémon, exploring every single corner of the map discovering amazing moments. When Gold and Silver arrived, suddenly you're at a new Region as Gold, the new protagonist. Your mission is almost the same as the previous games, but there's a difference: whenever you go, you listen to others talking about an amazing Trainer that defeated Team Rocket and became Champion a couple years ago, and NOBODY knows where he is. After hours playing, you reach the only zone that ever required 16 medals to unlock: Mt. Silver. By this point, your Pokémon are at least Lvl. 60-70 at most, there's no Trainer at this point that you haven't defeated and have a couple of Legendary Pokémon with you. As you're making your way up the mountain, thinking what Pokémon could await you, suddenly you reach the Top of Mt. Silver. In the Snowstorm, you see a figure, a lonely Trainer that does not react at your presence. It doesn't attack, say anything or even move as you approach him. And suddenly, when YOU speak to him, the only thing you heard is: "..." And then it begins... NOTHING could ever prepared us to that moment as we read: "PKMN TRAINER RED WANTS TO BATTLE!"
  • Wow, this took me back to the first time I managed to get to red atop mt. Silver. Outside of Cynthia, red was easily one of the hardest fought battles I had. In the end it came down to a speed tie between my pokemon(can't remember which one) and his blastoise, my pokemon was one hit away and his blastoise was still pretty healthy, in the end I got lucky and scored a critical hit (I think it was either an earthquake or a Giga drain) and it missed it's hydro pump and the hail KO'd it. This really brought back the intensity I felt back then, well done!

Gold: Climbs mountain Gold, once he reaches the summit: “Why do I hear Boss Music?”
