It's not only strange, it's very worrying. The isolation and anxiety we endured because of COVID is having a lasting and unwanted effect on an increasing number of teenage girls - it appears to have given them a kind of Tourette's Syndrome. They're tic-ing uncontrollably. Doctors don't understand why but there's no doubt it's a very real mental health condition. And even more bizarrely, it seems popular TikTok videos are playing a role in it. For the young girls who are suffering, there's no filter, which is a way of warning you the language in this story is at times offensive.
