Imagine being told “Oh, sorry. Those seats are reserved for Shrek and Donkey” and then seeing this

My boy Shrek was the only nominee who actually bothered and got all suited up for the ceremony, he deserved the award.
  • Mike: I can't believe it. Sully: Oh Mike..... Mike: We were NOMINATED FOR AN OSCAR!! Woohooo!

2002: Shrek wins Oscar . 2020: Shrek makes it to the National Film Registry
  • This is technically the closest thing we'll get to a crossover between Shrek, Monsters Inc., and Jimmy Neutron.

  • @mariatereza9721
The academy literally created a category for animated movies just so Shrek could be recognized as the masterpiece it is, this is how powerful this movie is

I wish the Oscars would show animated characters like this. It was so cute and funny.
  • @ashimochi
You know Shrek doesn't like to leave the commodity and privacy of the swamp, so the fact that they got him to attend AND get suited for the occasion is truly impressive
  • @godziller7136
I was surprised to see that Jimmy neutron was even nominated for an Oscar
  • @axelsgf
Early 2000s were really creative and fun to see animation put into events like these, really wish they did these now but it wouldn’t b the same, still a golden era for animation studios.
  • @BryBryReacts
I wish they did stuff like this nowadays 😭🤚
  • I like how Jimmy is mildly salty while Sullivan and Mikey are cringing.

It hurts my soul to see that just some decades ago animation was still considered a medium, while now it's marked as something just for kids...also those little animations looked legit amazing!! I almost felt bad for Mike and Sully when they found out they didn't win lol, it's such a shame we don't have those anymore

I wish they would animate the characters at the oscars again. Like an animated Puss In Boots at the oscar would be so cute and be going full circle if it wins
