I'm hoping that this is transformative enough that the gods of Unus Annus will not strike it down when the year is through. This is my first ever animatic, and it was a blast to make.

Franky is totally a type of a dude that'll just calmly explain everything and even after you mess something big time he's just gonna pat your back and say "hey, let's try this again, I'll show you again, don't get so nervous, you'll getting better and better!"

The fact that i can legit see this as Ussop and Franky's relationship is astounding. Like it legit makes sense to me

The fact that Franky is a carpenter and Mark was a deck builder is perfect.

I wish that they showed Usopp being handy more instead of just being a Goddo. He held the Merry together through a lot just by improvising. That's got to count for something. - Then again, the show is a lot less grounded anymore anyways. I guess with franky just building giant mechs on the spot in a matter of seconds, using scrap to fix a mast is no longer impressive.

Breaks my heart that we never really seen any of this type of interactions between these two in the show or manga. Instead It's always Usopp being amazed by Franky
