I love how she admits she made a mistake and is willing not to repeat it. But also give Oso the best life, with lots of love 😭

Don't shop, adopt. Thank you for spreading the word.

Anyone who purchases a pit bull type dog from a breeder is horrendously misguided. There are hundreds of thousands of wonderful pitties in animal shelters every year who are not as lucky. Thank you for realizing and sharing how your thinking changed.

We got our dog from a shelter 11 years ago. She wasn’t what we thought she was when we adopted her but is the perfect dog for us.

It is truly unfortunate you had to learn how UNSCRUPULOUS the breeding industry is through personal experience. However, you are giving Oso the best life possible. And he clearly brings your family tremendous joy. Life is often about making the best of, an otherwise, bad situation. Well done!

Another rewarding idea for rescues is seniors. Gotta love ‘em. I have rescued two seniors. They were the most grateful dogs I’ve ever known.

She may have a mistake in getting a dog from a breeder but she made Oso's life so much better 💕

I rescued my 15 year old dog and cat. They were treated terribly and rehomed so many times I worry if they know this is it. I will never give up on them even if they need expensive medical attention or food, I will work my ass off to make sure they live and thrive and know this is their home forever, no more moving and no more being neglected. I’m grateful more people see this, animals are amazing and deserve the best quality of life just like us humans.

I work at a vet clinic and i cant express to you all how important it is to adopt. We see more issues in dogs that came from breeders than the ones who came from rescues. Sure some of the ones that do come from rescues need a little extra TLC some times. But once they find humans who actually put their love, time, and effort into them, they are the sweetest pets you will ever witness! Too mamy pets out in kennels needing to be saved. Spend your money on them. They give back so much more than money!

Married 34 years, my wife and I have had 15 cats, 4 dogs, all rescues. Still, have 6 and 2, each one priceless!
  • My partner's late dog was the most perfect being on this earth and he was a rescue. The amount of love that dog gave us is impossible to count. He was an angel. Please, adopt.

My 1st dog was an English Bulldog that I purchased from a breeder. Thankfully, she was very healthy all throughout her life(she passed away just a couple months shy of turning 13). Got my current dog(a English Bulldog/Pitbull mix) from a shelter and she’s wonderful. Going forward, all always choose a rescue. So many incredible animals in need of love & homes ❤

Adoption is the way to go. Plenty of perfect animals in our shelters. That said, that bulldog is beautiful.

I’m so proud of this family for taking the time to learn the difference between adopting and buying from a breeder. It’s unfortunate, but I’m pretty sure the breader she bought Oso from was a backyard breeder with no experience. Either way, I’m glad they learned and not realize that a rescue is the best bread.

I will never get another dog anywhere but from the pound. They are so thankful and grateful. Some of the best dogs a family could ask for are sitting at the pound just waiting…
  • @pammf9391
It was nice and thoughtful that this owner took the time to tell this story—- there are so many animals looking for a home❤️
  • @LaPorteuseDeMort
I find remarkable for that women to understand, acknowledge her mistake with buying from a breeder, learn from it and work to do better. And no matter his medical condition, she's still giving Oso the best life she can when she could've just dropped him at a shelter and found a new dog. Kudos to her for being such a good person!

Seeing how Oso impacted your family, and how you take care of Oso, it's just the perfect fit. You guys are the right people to have Oso, yes you bought him, and saved him at the same time. How lucky Oso to have a family that will give him everything to have a quality long life. You wouldn't have learned about the situation about adoption if it wasn't for Oso. Thanks for spreading the word. ADOPT DON'T SHOP. More Powers!!! And more rescues, I hope! 😄

Rescued my pup from a family who got him from a breeder. Best decision I ever made!! He’s now 17 and is the healthiest dog the vets have ever seen!
  • @SocialliSimple
Okay but can we appreciate the fact that Oso was laying still as he was getting his nails done?! 😄 that's my favorite scene
