History of this world:
This survival series started on July 10th 2014 on the MCPE (Minecraft Pocket Edition) App. I had quite a few MCPE videos before this series that I recorded and edited on the iPod 4th Generation. When I finally upgraded to the iPhone 5, this was when I wanted to start a Minecraft series that will last forever! I started this series on the iPhone 5 and eventually upgraded again to the iPhone 6 Plus for more power on Ep.66. MCPE on the iPhone 6 Plus served me well for a long time until the game started updating more and became even slower. This was until I bought myself a gaming laptop (Lenovo Y700) and transferred my ongoing MCPE world to Windows 10 Edition on Ep.154. Till this day, we are still surviving and thriving with builds in this world and plan to do so far into the future!

About me and my world:

The biggest problem I think a lot of people have subconsciously is nostalgia. Trying to grip onto your best memories of the game when u were younger; creating a new world and expecting the same. A problem I have is efficiency, I could probably get full netherite gear and an enderman farm in my first real life day if I wanted to and if I didn't do that I'd just feel like I was wasting my time. I think if you were an OG player like me you have to acknowledge you're not gonna have as much fun as you used to, things were so much better back then; but you can still have fun by playing with your evolved creativity, finding more difficult mechanics to manipulate or challenges to accomplish. Vanilla minecraft is far too easy, mods help, but they don't feel like minecraft, i've been through hundreds. You're just going to have to experiment and find what's right for you, or you'll unfortunately just have to keep waiting for that spark of nostalgia. Minecraft is a game I think a lot of friends keep because of the potential in your head, but practically it's just not the same anymore... The best advice I could think of is to take inspiration from servers like scicraft and hermitcraft. Work on big projects when you get into your world and zone yourself out with the game's or your own music. Find a tool set that works for you, rush to efficiency 5 or just chill with iron. Once you've finished with a project close the game, open up a sticky note and do something else while you think of ideas. When you've got an idea open the game up and immediately get started, I feel like I get bored of games when I start walking around randomly or procrastinating. Download utility mods, there's no harm in those and consider playing on hardcore, it's really not that hard but it does give a tiny bit of edge to some aspects. Also consider datapacks like blazeandcaves it adds tons of advancements and keeps some life to your progression.

This is such a wholesome video! I always tell people that minecraft has infinite possibilities and so so so much value to offer no matter what you like to do. Also definitely make youtube videos! There are so many modpacks I've always wanted to try but just never had a reason to until now. Thank you for making this video because it really did remind me about just how much value a long term world can have!

i miss the time where you would spend months exploring the game and learning stuff about it

How to enjoy Minecraft: never ever step into the pvp community
  • I've never watched your series, but I feel like we're kindred spirits. This is exactly how I play the game. Especially the realistic world, cemetery and "firsts."
  • @Selvente
As someone who loves roleplaying AND playing minecraft, I love the way you have your world laid out. I'd die to have building skills like that! I struggle with inspiration especially when it comes to making bigger or even smaller houses.
  • @yeetramirez5625
Here's A Tip: Play with the music, it's so good and really just enhances the experience. It makes the game much more slow paced and calm but other times eerie and dark.
  • @lukile3296
i think people should just be more creative and have imagination with Minecraft, a lot of people just kill the ender dragon and think thats it, but theres so much more to do, You can build more structures, you can live in a village and slowly help it grow to an unimaginable size and you can do all of this with ur friends to make the experience even better. The possibilities are endless and the only limit is your imagination.
  • @Jontohil2
The thing about not making automatic farms is so true to me. I've seen SMPs killed off really quickly because almost immediately people make AFK farms and try to get the best loot possible asap, causing them to get bored very quickly and the players who aren't as fast quit because they feel left out.
  • Adding more to your original house is a good idea. Whenever I play survival, I always make a starter base and then later on move to a new area. The newer base just doesn't have the same appeal as the first one. Another thing I found is that moving into someone else's abandoned base on a multiplayer server can be fun as well. It adds a certain layer of mystery as to hidden aspects of the base and what those other players left behind.
  • @Okami8437
Dallas saying to not automate things and to do more in the world: My playstyle revolving around automating everything I can to make builds: nervous sweating
  • I disagree with the "don't make mending" and "don't make automatic farms" bit, I'm a player that enjoys long term worlds, and the reason I do that is because I adore having everything available to me and convenient I order to allow me to build what I want to as easily as possible. The best example of this is the hermitcraft server, constantly in endgame, their worlds last a long time and could theoretically go on forever. So just don't take this video at face value for everything, you do you!
  • @connoo2890
This has gotta be the most impressive world I have EVER seen. Truly 7 years worth of adventure to showcase here
  • @WoPrulez
I did feel inspired to play more just from watching this, job well done! And your world looks awesome
  • @thatchyboat
What I got from this video: I'm trash at building and probably can't do this. But man you earned a sub for how much effort you put in this world
  • @wasp1236
Building in creative is so fun and relaxing, and it’s always amazing when a build turns out well.
  • YouTube really does help you keep your world, also early on the world when it’s still uncertain if you’ll stay or quit it, build something that’s quite large, not a mega base but a good big build that’s one of your best. For example I built a temple and now I want to stay on the world
  • @joeseatat
I made a big list of things to build through the "ages", with increasing numbers of shops and houses. Town hall, city hall. A mayoral mansion, a baron's estate. Decorations, wells, and inns, and parks to be sprinkled. And of course, everything connected with path/road. I'm nearly through with just the stone age, but I'm so in love with what I've got so far, and so excited to see it grow more.
