"And unable to protect either my student or my mentor" These words always break me

not every author is capable of killing one of the most beloved, most important and best created characters of all his work, doing it so well and that everything fits incredibly well: the story, the context, the moment, everything fits so that the character he goes through the front door, that's why when kishimoto shines it's to stand up and say it
  • Jiraiya vs Pain was probably one of the most incredible and saddest fights that happened in Shippuden. Seeing Jiraiya's strength was something to behold and shows why he is named one of the Sannin and was a candidate to become Hokage. His death was truly sad, but in the end, he showed his strength and guts to the world, along with entrusting the future to Naruto.

I already saw this scene like 15 different times, WHY AM I STILL CRYING TO THIS!?!?
  • what made me cried even more during this scene is that: The first thing Jiraya did as a spirit is to go to naruto and pat his shoulder like saying "everything will be alright"

Even though it's explained, A lot of people didnt like the fact that he went back instead of retreating and live to fight another day However, as we saw in his last moments. He still carries a huge burden of guilt that he wasn't there for Hirozen nor Minato and he's somewhat responsible of their deaths. This was sort of his redemption and was lowkey doing it for Naruto as well as he thought he was a failure of a teacher. Obviously no one would hold him accountable if he went back except Jiraya himself. I think going back to confirm Pain's identity was the best decision and we could see how his sacrifice paved the way to the biggest transformation of Naruto's character in the series

2:33 That's actually was the first use of universal pull in the series and no one seems to be reacting at Pain destroying a giant part of building with a single hand swoop.

Is it me or is it much more emotional watching these episodes back now years later? Why is that

No matter how many times I see this scene, I still cry😢. Btw, thanks for part 3👍
  • @Art_Codex
I remember when me and my wife watched this, my wife couldnt stop crying.
  • 8:12 is the best part of the entire show. We all eventually fail, but the message to keep going because you still have goals to achieve is so good and it speaks to us all

I remember reading the manga and completely denying that Jiraya was dying. I refused to believe he was being killed. I remember being so mad!

"The most important attribute of a ninja is not the number of jutsu he masters , The most important thing the guts to never give up!". R.I.P Jiraiya-sensei.
