Exactly a year ago today marks the anniversary of the death of 44 PNP Special Action Force in a covert operation dubbed as Oplan Exodus that killed the Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli Bin Hir also referred to as Marwan. In this three part Inquirer.net special, we pay tribute to the men and women of the PNP-SAF and recognize the gallantry of the brave 44 in the "Clash of Mamasapano".

Nararamdaman ko ang pakiramdam ng mga naiwang pamilya ng SAF 44; mayroon din akong kapatid na namatay sa isang ambush sa Basilan noong 1983. Nakakalungkot lang kasi itong mga laban na ito ay Pilipino kontra sa kapwa Pilipino.
