Unfortunately, most of the best content and instructional include lessons on very expensive, ultra-high performance systems. In this video, we go through everything you need to know about solar charging components, product selection, and sizing in order to allow you to install you own highly effective system for a lot less money!

Dude, your speech cadence, body language, hand gestures, lack of filler words, ability to convey these topics. I could watch your stuff for hours. It's a real treat to be able and learn these concepts without getting board!
  • @MikeLoper
Brian, I just returned from a week-long boondocking trip. I took your advice, bought a Renolgy 200-watt suitcase, and paired it up with my 100Ah battery. I used all of my campers' 12-volt features, Alde heater, and fridge. lights and audio. I never even came close to the limit of my battery. The solar panels topped off my battery easily in 2-3 hours and I had 2 cloudy days but it only took a little longer for it to charge. Thanks for the advice. You're the bomb

After a half dozen "beginner" videos I came across this one. You said more, and more clearly, in 20 minutes than all the others put together. You have a talent for boiling it down to relatively easy to understand material. I did have to listen to the last 5 minutes several times for the new info to gel into the summation. Plus, you have a good voice and tonal changes to keep me interested and awake. Thank you!!

I love the way this guy explains. the tone, the content, the encouragement. I actually absorbed it and felt like an adult for 5 minutes.

This panel can put out close to 100 watts youtube.com/post/UgkxOqI2yqX0XVrhR2BMJciTWrHJpG8Fh… when positioned in the appropriate southernly direction, tilted to the optimal angle for your latitude/date, and connected to a higher capacity device than a 500. The built in kickstand angle is a fixed at 50 degrees. Up to 20% more power can be output by selecting the actual date and latitude optimal angle. The 500 will only input 3.5A maximum at 18 volts for 63 watts. Some of the excess power from the panel can be fed into a USB battery bank, charged directly from the panel while also charging a 500. This will allow you to harvest as much as 63 + 15 = 78 watts. If this panel is used to charge a larger device, such as the power station, then its full output potential can be realized.

I subscribed because you explain things well and break them down to the layman’s level. Thanks.

Finally! A solar video for the small camper. I have a No Boundaries 10.6 & I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on a huge kit for such a small camper. I really appreciate the info & your presentation!
  • @RDFore

  • @TammyCondren
FINALLY SOMEONE EXPLAINS SOLAR IN AWESOME, EASY TO UNDERSTAND LANGUAGE! NEW SUB!I’ve watched soooo many so-called BEGINNER solar videos & they still don’t explain in enough detail for a beginner who doesn’t know a single thing about solar! It’s like these other people assume u must already know a certain amount to begin with! THIS WAS FANTASTIC! Thank u so much😊

Kudos to you for providing some of the most practical advice on affordable RV systems available on YouTube. I've been into much of this subject matter for more than twenty years, but seldom have I seen someone cut through the hype and give the practical, affordable information that you do. Although your info is oriented more towards "weekend warriors" rather than full-timers it doesn't take a lot to extrapolate your advice between the two. Keep up the great work. And I thank Cosmo Weems for bringing your channel to my attention -- the two of you are both great sources of practical advice on this topic. Thanks for all your work.
  • @DeeB17

I got into portable solar options several years ago, and learned alot of my information from YouTube. Nobody really laid it out in a simplistic easy to learn method like yours. Great job.
  • @MedicCamba
