I think Dimash shakes the microphone to prove he is singing live as well as for dramatic effect. Thank you for your Dimash reactions.

As I know he first landed on C-Sharp 8 and then after 0.5 seconds switched up to D8 and held it for 4.5 secs
  • @pdsimdars
They say it is a D8 for 5 seconds. Oh, and he wrote that song when he was in his teens.

He composed this song when he was 19! What a talent!

This "Gakku" festival took place in September 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is said that the city center was paralyzed on the day of the concert. More than 150,000 spectators gathered in the central square of the city. Many came then only because of Dimash. Dimash performed at the end of the concert and sang 5 songs. It was evident that Dimash was relaxed on stage because the competition in China was behind him. The festival is not a competition, and Dimash was HOME, among his countrymen and DEARS. In the song "Unforgettable Day" he took a chance and sang D8. And before the D8 he was waving his microphone, but we didn't hear the sound. I think it was some ultra-sound that only animals hear, and people don't hear. It is said that Dimash sang D8 - "the whistling of the dolphin" and it was the longest sound of this high note. In the history of modern singing performance, the longest sound of this note. There are singers who take this high note, but for so long to keep it no one can.

I think the "waving- microphone" serves two purposes: 1. it shows that he is not lipsyncing, (he does that in multiple performances) 2. it's just a cool effect :)
  • Молодец. Димаш сделал своё дело, теперь пора расширять клавиатуру пианино.

Can you do a reaction to Dimash song in a Duet with Li Yugang called: "Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance ". Li has a similar high note voice but Dimash's voice has depth and clarity. The mix is soo beautiful, musically refreshing from all other music today... just lovely on the ear! Thanks

One of the things I love the most is how Dimash can interact with his fans, literally, without wavering or missing a beat. Just awesome. Nice reaction video. Thank you!

Mike, Dear Sir, I understand nothing about singing techniques etc, besides loving and appreciating good music...but you make me smile 😁 Thank you for your heartfelt and knowledgeable reactions/analyses and support of Dimash ✊👌 Just another gentle reminder that Dimash does have an official channel and that it would be awesome if he could get his million subs by his birthday 24 May... 😉😏🚀🚀🚀💃💃🤗
  • Thank you super reaction! 👍👍👍👏👏👏Dimash Geni Vocalist! Singer world number one☝️I love so much Dimash 😘🙏🔥🌎🔥🤴
  • Very2 good analysis. Im a music student myself but never in my learning hear something like him. Im pretty much dont care about ranges or whistle but his musicality and control that this guy have. In classes we were told to choose the singing style and stick with it because if we trying to do another style, we might not get it fully or might losing what we've already have. But this guy came in like there is no limit to his style, he is master in techniques and sometimes freaking skipping the notes, not to mention his confidence on stage. Truly a beast

Dimash did a D8 with vibrato for 5 seconds and the new world record by a man that took several tries before actually hitting it is a E8. Just thought you would like to know. By the way there is a great video to check how accurately your hearing really is titled Dimash extreme vocals for a male voice. I am positive you are hitting notes perfectly so you can double check as in the video it shows the notes he hits so you can compare. They do show this is a D8.

Other reactors have called it D8, and it is off the keyboard. I've also heard he does the wah-wah effect with the mic to prove he isn't lip syncing. It's maddening how many people can't stomach anyone performing so perfectly.
