I've been carrying a Glock 26 a LOT lately because it seems to just vanish in clothes, not to mention that it's been a proven subcompact handgun for almost 3 decades. Yeah, sure, I own a P365 and P365XL, but the Glock 26 has been around longer and it's slightly thicker, slightly heavier, and thus faster and more accurate. Right? Let's find out.

No man who under court order is not allowed to come within 500 ft of Gaston Glock can be trusted to review his products... we know it wasn't a simple misunderstanding, James. Edit: This is a joke. I can't believe I have to point this out, but here we are.

If you're in New Orleans, you better carry.
  • For years, I felt like the Glock 26 was obsolete. I’ve carried a Glock 43X for several years now and love it. However, I shot a Glock 26 for the first time today. I couldn’t believe it, but the perceived recoil was about HALF that of my 43X. I then got to thinking, “I can feed this thing with my G19 and G17 magazines!” I got home from the range and bought my own G26 online today. This gun is nothing to sleep on.

I got into the Glock 26 because of law enforcement. When my department switched from the Glock 21 to the Glock 17 I picked up a Glock 26 to replace my Glock 30 as my backup gun. The 26 may be an "aged" design but it shoots incredibly well and I like that I can feed it with larger magazines off my belt if I need to. My favorite of the Micro Compacts is the Shield Plus though, I had a Gen 1 Shield since they got released in 2012, never upgraded it to the M2.0, but when I saw the Plus came out fits in all the same holsters and holds significantly more ammo with the M2.0 grip I picked one up and I have been very happy with it.

I have both. It's a great little shooter with many rounds though the 26 over the years, but it's never been one of my carry choices. I've carried the P365 for probably three years. For me, the coin toss goes to the Sig.

The fact that you can feed G19, G17 and even a 33 rounder makes it a no contest for me. I've got more rounds through the little sigs than most (50k through a handful of them)They are good little guns but not nearly as durable as the glock, I have broken a few. The reliability and back up mag capabilities of the G26 win this hands down....for me, based on my experiences.

p365X is literally perfect for me. its like it was made for my hands. full, proper grip (no pinky dangle), better trigger, super thin and light. not sure how it could be any better honestly
  • @slimee5549
How can you compare sig to Glock when Glock is superior
  • This couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been carrying the 26 with extended mag for over a decade. I’ve never felt the need for a change until recently. The difference between the other 10-12 rounders is almost negligible. So, because capacity counts, I’m currently deciding between the Sig Xl, X - Macro, or the Springfield Hellcat. After hours of research I’ve found that I’m just as confused as ever. Great video as always!

I got a spectre comp last year. It took some time getting used to the p365xl grip compared to my g19 and g26. It felt too thin at first but I got used to it and now prefer it over my glocks which feel like a block of wood in my hands now.
  • Been carrying a g26 gen 4 for 6ish years. Recently rented a 365 and shot them both. The 365 was great, ran flawlessly. But the 26 just feels like home to me. Not to mention in a shtf scenario theres going to be many more glock mags to be found. Great vid.

Thanks for going out and testing the G26 vs the P365, I’ve always appreciated your honesty.

Just a quick shout out to you James. As so many others do, I really appreciate your intelligent, informative videos. Thank you.
  • Great video. Informative and had me cracking up a few times such as his comment on Ford vs. Chevy owners. Just subscribed.

Great video.. I love my GEN 3 Glock 26. I added an SLR rifle works +5 extension.. It doesn’t add too much to the overall size of the grip and the gun has been flawless 7500 rounds .
