God Shall Not Be Mocked - Paris Olympic Opening 2024

The Olympics is supposed to be about everyone coming together, so that opening is shocking. They even showed the Statue of Liberty broken.

France is a beautiful country and also has a beautiful culture. There some people in France that doesn't represent that but we should continue to love and pray for France and also love and pray for everyone. 😃

I don’t watch the Olympics, so I just learned of what happened last night. Friday I spent the day at our religious store, and made a dedication area. Bought my first rosary too and my Priest blessed it for me. This little area made my heart grow more, that it came to fruition, on the day he was mocked. Glory to God in the highest.

Yes praying and offering up penances for the lost souls. I hope that the blackout and the lighting of the Church is true . What a sign for all of us to imitate ! The people in darkness have seen the great light .

I am not surprised by what happened at the Olympics but I will pray that I can sincerely pray for that country.

Thank you for your take on that jarring opening for the Olympics. So sad. So happy to hear you were at the Eucharist Revival. Wish I had been there. What a special time to be a Catholic. Fun fact regarding The Basilique du Sacré-Cœur has had 24/7 Adoration since it was opened. ‘We Never Leave the Lord Alone’: 135 Years of Eucharistic Adoration at Sacré-Coeur Since Aug. 1, 1885, the chain of perpetual adoration of the Holy Sacrament at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Montmartre in Paris has continued uninterrupted, including during the 1944 bombing and the coronavirus crisis.

Thank you Fr Leo for speaking up … this is really outrageous!! The Olympics have always stood for unity, respect, and the coming together of diverse cultures and beliefs. Not disrespecting & mocking one’s belief.

Your comments regarding Paris gave me”food” for thought and so I will absolutely keep France and especially those misguided souls in my prayers.
