Flashforge Adventurer 3: Extruder Upgrade

The Flashforge Adventurer 3 is a very capable printer but does struggle with a proprietary extruder that is mounted and positioned in a way that makes it difficult to service. And due to it's lack luster extruder gear, servicing is required mcuh more often than one would like. Repositioning the stock extruder with a replacement one from an Ender 3 makes it much less difficult to service.

This video was exactly what I needed to get my printer back in action. Thank you 🙏

Just finished up. Still creaks a little with pre-extrusion, might need to tighten up the screw. But so far, so good. Great mod, many thanks.

got the same problem, and now is colleting dust for the past 2 years, while try your upgrade, i hope it works
  • Would you be willing to share that STL file of the mount you made for the extruder assembly?

I used to get this a lot. But since I have a few printers now this has become an ABS only. I also got a 0.3mm extruder and run it full speed and that seems ok. If it clicks its either the extruder/hot end that needs cleaning, is too close to the baseplate, or running at too fast a speed for the filament . But overall it is a c**p mechanism.

Did you just disconnect the filament sensor or did you have to make additional mods?

Gonna try this. 5500 hours of popping is too much. Thing is a money pit.
