What a cool looking knockoff bike. I found this looking at HAWK videos. I believe the X-Pro 229cc Honda clone is also in the JANUS. I hear they are superb motors that are nearly bulletproof as long as you change the oil regularly.

Happen to know the diameter size of the handlebar in the center?
  • It's a real good looking bike. Has it been reliable? Is it hard to start being carbureted?

I noticed that the front nut and washer are missing under the seat. Time for another trip to Autozone

So I purchased mine today fully assembled, with the nibbi carb and in take, and nibbi air filter with 17th tooth sprocket, and I selected to have venom install it all. So when it comes it will be fully assembled and upgraded. Would you happen to know if the upgrades are better?

I still have to do the swap out of the sprocket but I need to take it somewhere because I don't know what I'm doing lol. Also I notice that it stalls alot...would the swap help that?
  • would this be ideal for a beginner. Im looking to buy my first bike. also can this be registered with dmv, im from NYC

You have to be careful with Chinese bikes. I have had 2 Chinese scooters and a Chinese dual sport bike. The bolts are made out of fine case hardened cheese. That bolt you used is not the right bolt. You need either a flanged bolt or a bolt and washer for that bracket. I would have probably used Allen bolts with bonded sealing washers for all 4. I don't use one of those stupid "smartphones". You couldn't give me one. I use an old school flip phone, and I keep it put away while riding. I do have a Garmin Zumo motorcycle GPS, but I would never have any reason to use it on a bike like that. That kind of bike is only good for local riding. Chinese bikes don't hold up for long distance riding. I would also keep the stock sprocket, and just keep your speed down. It is not a highway cruiser. On a 65 mph road (where traffic goes 75-80 mph) I would ride it at 45 on the shoulder, or at least move over onto the shoulder if someone was coming up behind me. Other than it being carbureted, the biggest advantage I can see to this bike is it has tubeless tires, so you are not likely to be stranded by a flat tire if you carry a pump or compressor, and a tubeless tire repair kit.
