Here's a small irony. The tableau this scene presents, kids at play in small boats on a sunlit river, makes me think of the initial chapters of 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' rather than anything by Poe.

I already finished season 1 of Wednesday but I am going to rewatch Wednesday again from the beginning of the first episode and hopefully Wednesday season 2 gets more episodes then just 8 episodes.
