Lyrics:

Bye-bye baby bye-bye
And that was all she wrote

I got home late on a Saturday night
And I knew right away something wasn't right
I knew she was gone
She took all I had, but left a hole in my heart
Should've known it'd go bad right from the start
What did I do wrong

I can't understand why she would leave me this way
With nothing to say
Then I found the note on the door
It said good-bye and she don't want me no more

Absolutely devastating--- 4-7-2024--- RIP CJ and thank you for all the memories. Hard to believe as this band is/was currently touring and on the road. God bless guys! We're getting older and this is a prime example that we're not immortal. Hugs!

Legendary voice, legendary music. So sad, so young. Tragic loss. Thank you C.J.
  • @mattwright6266
This 50year old is still stuck in the 80s and don't give a DAMN! Had a blast back in the long hair days!
  • @davidryder3374
I introduced my wife to Firehouse earlier this year, and she told me earlier this week about CJ's passing and how she played some songs over and over while she was working to commemorate his life. She makes me proud.

I'm still stuck in the 80's and love it, nothing nowadays compares to 80's hair metal

CJ, was easily in the same league as Steve Perry, Michael Sweet, and Dennis Deyoung. Amazing range, control, talent, and songwriting. Icon.
  • @robertspicer3716
Just broke the news to my wife. She really liked you guys. RIP CJ.
  • Im 24 years old, but thanks to my parents, I grew up on all the good stuff: Dokken, Wasp, Iron Maiden, Europe, Dio, Queensrÿche, King Diamond, Helloween, White Lion, Iced Earth & Bon Jovi when he was still cool lol. And despite having listened to countless CDs already. I still discover stuff I haven't heard from back then, like this song. Epic bands throughout the 80s for sure. Wish I could experience just one day in that decade, when the youth was united in heavy metal!

My ex and I were part of the audience at this video shoot in Southern Utah in 1992?? They played the song three times for footage, then played the whole album for us. It was great. Little did we know, we where witnessing the last hair band.
  • @lolwutLOL
Mid 30's and just discovered this band had more hits than 'Love of a Lifetime'. My god, this band is criminally underrated.
  • Thank you for the great music. CJ is rocking the Heavens tonight !!! R.I.P.
