At $1500 per oz, our gold panda collection is now worth $18,000. In this video, we share our small gold panda collection before it makes a trip back to the vault.
We bought these coins mostly for bullion weight, not as slabbed coins. With the exception of the 2017 gold panda in MS70 (which we bought recently from eBay to fill a gap), all coins are net positive even after imposing a $150 "fee" for each coin to offset certification charges.
While I love these coins as part of the children's heirloom, simpler coins such as the Australian Kangaroo and 100 gram gold bars offer better returns as they do not incur certification charges and provide an easier transaction with bullion dealers.
