Harvey has kindly agreed to be filmed attempting a mock driving test to help viewers learn from where he goes wrong. There are 3 reasons he failed and 5 minor marks. Use the video chapters to skip to the key moments in the drive. The 3 failure points are very likely to be marked as a fail during a real driving test in the UK.

In fairness to his serious speed, that national speed limit sign was completely covered by tree
  • @PuddyHU
Props to the learner to agree to being filmed, if I had been in this situation, I'd have been so nervous😅
  • @fairsaa7975
All things considered, he kept the car well under control while in the intimidating presence of Nigel. Must be a shock to go from car rides with Richard, to them with such an intimidating fellow.

Huge respect to the driver for being filmed during a mock test! (also thank you for all your videos, managed to pass with one minor this morning and your videos were a massive help both with technique and nerves!)
  • wait what did my man just say he’s gone to get the examiner then get back in the car again as “nigel” 😂😂😂
  • @shubbah8
Just passed and wanted to say thanks so much Richard! Went from stalling 6 times in 60 seconds and now 4 months later, passing with 0 minors thanks to all your videos!
  • @dankshiz69
The "not bothered" examiner role was spot on! I was rollin'!
  • @HaydnG266
"he will probably fail this" The man's world fell apart at the revelation
  • Delighted to announce that I passed my driving test this morning with three minors 🎉. I’ve loved watching this channel for over a year now. Good luck to everyone sitting the test.

UK driving looks scary almost 100km/h on a fairly narrow two lane road...
  • @peskaondra
When you fast forward the video it looks like you're doing street racing with your students. Definitely a must have skill for new drivers

Well done, Harvey! No pass on this occasion but you're SO very nearly there. One more clean mock test and I'm sure you'll be ready for your real one and you'll ace it! Thanks for allowing Richard to film your mock, it's going to help thousands of learners. I watched previous mocks on Richard's channel and they were invaluable - I passed 4 days ago first time with zero faults! Very best of luck for your big day! And Richard, thank you SO much for all your videos, you're a LEGEND! x
  • passed my test today with 1 minor, came back to say thank you for your videos and the time you invest, really helping people like me who need that late night reassurance 😃

I've been following your channel for almost 3 years. Let that young man represent how followers like me feel about you and the way you teach. He seems comfortable, excited and confident to be under your wing. You are very polite and gentle sir. I only wish i was local in europe to you.
  • Good luck to Harvey when he takes his real test. 23:06, I had this exact situation, examiner asked me what I'd normally be doing. I chose to have a nice chat and it helped my nerves to be honest, on a test that I was not confident at all on being my third test and I had made a LOT of serious faults in the hour before. I went on to pass with no faults somehow.
  • Richard, I can't stop watching your videos despite the fact that I am in Canada. My goodness, you're I think the best instructor putting out videos on youtube, and I've watched hundreds of them. I think the reason for that is that you focus on logical and spatial awareness, not just silly "reference points" on every occasion, and you cover some topics like tight spaces and anticipation better than most people out there. I look up to you and aspire to be a driver like you.
  • I passed in September, I still won't stop watching these videos, I am improving as a driver every day, and these videos are a huge part of why :D
  • @rap1dapple
This was unbelievably helpful! Well done Harvey, I could not do it while being filmed!
  • @pappieee9409
I know I’ve said it on so many of your videos already at this point but I honestly and abso-ducking-lutely love the way you teach everyone on your channel regardless of there experience, not intrusive with the driver and allowing him to a certain extent really learn for themselves and actually get the feel of “driving” and hopefully becoming a dynamic driver, and on the flip your aren’t absent to the point where the learner feels bored or distracted from there actions and making them aware how there choice/decisions have a reaction, honestly your doing a service to the nation teaching the next generations how to drive properly and even giving people who have been driving for years a bit of a refresher 😉😂 keep up the amazing work and I think it’s safe to say from every single person who watches your content, thank you ❤️🫶🏻

I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you! I just passed my test first time and I really believe watching your videos helped me get to where I am. You’re done god’s work!
