The problem with having a dog that’s too friendly with other dogs is that the other dogs aren’t always friendly.
  • My neighbours had a beautiful female Newfoundland. They had a fence and she and I would interact over the fence. She was a little taller than I and much heavier, yet she was so gentle and sweet. We used to hug each other. I loved her and she liked me as well. I was so sad when my neighbours said she passed away, she had just turned 8 years old.

I worked at a grooming salon for about a year and we had two Newfoundlands, Mika and Mike, come in regularly. Although they were huge and their fur made a mess of our work space, they were both big 'ol babies. Mike used to take the leash from his parents after checking in and walked himself to the back and into a kennel.

The story about how Duggie affected JJ was lovely! Pets are honestly incredible. I can’t imagine his parents when they heard that. The joy they must have felt 💜
  • These wonderful parents are no strangers to taking direction in the name of improving their beautiful son's quality of life. It shows with the way they receive Victoria's guidance.
  • 9:45 Is the cutest thing I have seen. Just going around the room and getting pets even from the camera man

"he doesnt understand growling" oh my sweet babyyyy you're just too big 😂
  • @LilFrg

  • @UnfazedPhoenix
Dougie is gentle with the little boy in all the footage. It's so sweet.

Josh even reacted to Victoria’s praise lol he was glowing when she said “you did it!” after he was like “well, it’s going to take some work”. Just proves how powerful positivity is. Love how she keeps it positive all the time. It’s so valuable especially when training it works so well

These are probably my favourite owners I've seen on this show. What a couple of devoted and loving people, just wonderful parents and wonderful owners.

I worked as a lifeguard over the summer at a pool and the pool provided me with a Newfie as my buddy to keep eye on the kids pool! They are such incredible workers I was absolutely amazed!

    DOUGIE IS ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE

I see this 75 kilo dog is behaving like a typical puppy would. So glad Victoria came to redirect the focus.

Duggie running around the living room to say hello to everyone, including the cameraman and audience at home ❤️

My Golden retriever girl loves to show off her toys. She will come and softly scratch at the door when she's outside just to say hi or show me her toy, it's so cute 🥰
  • @Elisa_ov
The toy thing was so true! My dog is a German Shepherd, whenever I come back from school he gets so excited and happy that he grabs a toy and shows it to me. Whenever he grabs a toy I know exactly that he's happy!
  • I’ve honestly never met a mean or defensive Newfoundland. They are also great swimmers.
  • I feel this family. I have a retriever puppy (small yet). He doesn't understand not everyone loves him as i do. He has the attitude of " i am adorable who wouldn't love me jumping on them". I am struggling to calm his excitement. Trust everyone even delivery person whom he just met and happily leaving his house behind to go with that stranger.
