This is a nice tribute to Seve. His game had left him by this stage in his career, but it was one of the greatest scrambling displays I've ever seen. It's a great testament to the man and a great message for young golfers everywhere to keep your head in the game and never give up.

Nice to see that the spectators were very respectful back in the day and enjoyed the fantastic golf on display, whether the player is European or American is irrelevant, golf is the winner.

In my very humble opinion I don't believe there will ever be such a charismatic master of the golf course that will come close to Seve, so sadly missed by so many.
  • As Faldo once said, "you might not be able to see him, but you know that he is still "in" the hole".

Probably the best scrambler in history! and no one can compares with him! Legend!
  • The European editor of Golf Monthly witnessed this match and said that front 9 by Seve was the greatest 9 holes he ever saw. Lehman must have been confounded at how he was only 1 up at the turn with Seve not hitting a single fairway in regulation. The greatest scrambler ever, bar none! Via con Dios Seve

As a teenager, this event marked my realisation that Seve was past his prime. It really stuck in my memory. His vulnerability and resilience made him even MORE fascinating to watch.
  • Handsome, charming and a golfing genius. Nobody could play and inspire other players quite like him!!! He is so badly missed.
