Honestly the biggest failing with this hoodie is that they didn't design the armor to appear as a 6 pack.

We need more of the "Becoming deadly" series

Here’s the point: Body armor, of any type, provides you with some protection. This particular body armor is minimal in thickness, and force distribution, but that’s the trade-off, for being comfortable and inconspicuous. Even with better body armor, you’re still going to get injured, but it’s still better than being dead. If it kept you alive, even if it’s only long enough, to get to a surgeon, it’s done it’s job.

I would really like to see a “Could this save Robocop” segment where after testing a body armor, everybody shoots a fresh plate at the same time with all the calibers previously tested, just to see if it could have saved Alex Murphy.

Points to Paul for bringing a handkerchief/small towel. Also he is correct, changing one's socks and drinking water is the cure all for serious injuries.

Good to have Micah back on the camera, it does make a difference having an experienced cameraman. Paul was making the right calls, pretty good Dad advice too.

See, my family used to call me paranoid, because I wore a front and back plate vest under my sweatshirt/hoodie/jackets. When it saved me from a random drive-by crossfire, they saw why I wore it. (Edit: drive-by was to shoot somebody else, and I was on the same side of the street as them, and I was struck by two 9mm rounds. One only glazed my jacket and just tore some threading, but the other struck my back plate, and at the angle it struck, it would’ve struck my spinal cord. So it saved my life, and my ability to walk. I’d rather be paranoid and alive, than trusting and dead/paralyzed.)

the first thing i learned about armor is that speed and velocity is what defeats armor. anything traveling fast enough will go through anything

There are only two kinds of GT videos. Ones where Mr. Thumb is "interested to see" and those where he is "curious to know".
-
This channel just isn't the same without Charlie and all of his knowledge.
-
As always Garand Thumb rewards our loyality to watch his content with VERY important answers for VERY important questions
-
That burst footage with the music was some of the most mesmerizing footage I've ever seen.
-
Man we need to appreciate Charlie’s sacrifice to becoming a ballistic dummy for this video. Thanks Charlie, for the honorable sacrifice he made for our entertainment

Not many people know but the bullet proof vest was created by a pizza shop owner. He got tired of being shot at when he was getting robbed.
-
Some of the best slow motion I've ever seen. Well done. Very satisfying to watch.

“How to become deadly… In Chicago.”
-
Starting by taking out the head was funny. But, it was really hard to see if there was internal damage after that because so much of the juicy skull insides dropped down the front making everything red before you really started.

To caveat on the multiple becoming deadly, i think a home/perimeter defense one would be good, as well as maybe a suburb one. I get alot of the previous information is transferable but another take is always a good thing to have. Maybe covering fields of observation/fire, setting up a temporary or permanent OP in the neighborhood etc. S2 underground does cover some of this already.
