    I had the honor of being one of Dr. Sanford's students at C.S. 21 in the 70's. When this beautiful woman walked the halls every bit of foolishness stopped. She could correct behavior with a look. Not because she was threatening. She was just a beautiful Queen that exuded excellence and Goddess power with every step and word. Dr. Sanford, Dr. Uzaga, and Dr. Renee Young whose married name I cannot remember were and remained prevalent role models in my life. These women were dynamic in their cultural accents and queenly demeanor. Dr. Sanford looked good in her clothes!! Being a part of the educational environment that they created was an ordained experience. God bless you.
