We only had a day to spend at Capitol Reef National Park , that is also in November end, that means shorter days and while we originally thought that would be enough, we learned that this park deserves so much more time. There are so many hikes to do, so many places to stop. We could cover only few major places like
Gooseneck Point capitol reef, Capitol Gorge Trail capitol reef, Hickman Natural Bridge, Sunset Point capitol reef.
Called by some Native Americans the "Sleeping Rainbow," Capitol Reef National Park takes its name from a segment of the Waterpocket Fold, which, with its many domes of white Navajo sandstone over red Wingate sandstone cliffs, resembles the domes of the U.S. and other capitol buildings.
Located in south-central Utah in the heart of red rock country, Capitol Reef National Park is a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes, and bridges in the Water-pockets, a geologic monocline extending almost 100 miles.
