The sound design for this thing is absolutely insane. There's multiple layers of effects with their own auditory ranges to convey just how enormous and intricate its body is. You can hear the big stomp from anywhere, but get close and you start hearing all the little gears and plates clattering in its body with every step.

That thing is a Rozital, a sentient robot race more advanced then the Arirals. These sentient beings also made mutants like the Antibreather which we all love to hate

I LEARNED HOW TO ACTIVATE THE EVENT you need to find the pyramid signal fully process it and then the tripod appears

i was looking at the wiki just yesterday, saw this creature listed with only a bit of info, and thought "wow, that must be terrifying to see." i was right. thats absolutely nuts.

I can't even friggen imagine what this would be like seeing it from the ground, directly below it. I fear though I will eventually find out the hard way.

Big Pyramid actually helped us, it took away Yellow Wisps (Those things will kill you if you get too close)

I would have honestly shat myself if I ever saw this WoTW abomination approaching my base

I know Joel will eventually find this, but he’s probably cower under his desk with a crowbar or Maxwell, or run out there and get yoinked by the orb

turns out i was the first to discover this. holy crap. the 3 other buttons do similar things the obelisk event trigger is the last one the timetravel machine is second and the "big pyramid" is the first one Also all of them are spammable do what you want with this information. Sadly no achivement is granted from the encounter. tt also has full pathfinding which i figured out it heads straight to the Shining orange things if you spawn millions of them more orbs spawn causing the tripods to stay around longer.

I love how this thing moves, it's so cool.

If this ever becomes a random event then well i guess i will never leave the basement again

..did I predict a The war of the worlds event? This thing is a giant tripod, with a deafening howl, how is this not The War of the Worlds Related?

i didn't think this game woud include goddamn war of the worlds

Joel could have met this thing if he just being brave for once..

so im guessing this big guy kills the deadly fireballs that roam the place after a certain event does it appear because of a specific signal?
