My father was just like you, he could build anything. He, by himself, built a 2000 sq.ft. home on Lake Huron... I am Blessed he left it to me. I wish I had his talent and brilliance, but I am doing my best to keep his beautiful home up to par. ❤❤

I’ve been seeing a lot of people do this project themselves. You’re the only person I trust to actually teach us how to do this the right way. Thank you
  • @PenAirPilot
I've been looking at this product for 2 years it feels.... I cant wait to start my install under your guidance. Im glad you approve! This stuff looks just toooooo right!
  • @_EleventHour
Your issue with the height of the top board being too tall was because the system is designed that you do not need a spacer below your first board. It is built in to the columns so that it keeps the bottom board elevated already. But overall, good looking system and easy install!!
  • @Badenhawk
After watching this video I got an Ad from that company and saw that they sell hanging accessories like shelves and planter boxes that you can install like it's a peg board. That's pretty neat. Looks great!
  • @gailarnold2660
I like the way it was done. Gap on the bottom for us who deal with snow. Air flow more on the lower area and double boards to kind of cover the faces more of the people standing on the deck for noise reduction and privacy. I like it. You are good at this.
  • OMG! I’ve been wanting to do a fence like the Hoft fence, and Lowes is close to my house! I need to replace an old pine panel/picket fence and this will look amazing. I hope Hoft can comp you for the promoting it!
  • I used this system last year building my first fence and I loved it! Can attest that it survived the winter in good shape too. I think it's worth every extra penny to save time and get consistent results especially if you don't have advanced skills.
  • @xxMattyIcexx
You do things logically even when doing serious projects. Sorry for not subscribing earlier, I built my first deck watching your videos despite my father being a contractor! Best thing I've added onto that house honestly!
  • @timbobau
Jeff, I was glad to see I am not the only one using my drill or driver's battery as a hammer.
  • @BenBuss
33:14 - For my aesthetic preference: If doubling up some boards, I would have done the doubled up boards with no spacer near the bottom then a spacer between every board near the top. I’d prefer the aesthetic of having the extra thickness near the bottom and a “lighter” look at the top. Even better would have been to rip the bottom board lengthwise so that then it was a space between every board with only the bottom board being narrower. Either way, those are aesthetic preferences.
  • @h0mie425
amazing work like always. In this situation, I would measure and ripe the board so it lines up, and place that ripped board at the bottom, so everything would line up at the top. But what you did works fine. Nice job.
  • I think I would have ripped the top board to the right height for the cap, then take it apart and use it as the bottom starter board. Rip all of the bottom boards the same. Then you’ll have even spaces on all boards.
  • @gergemall
I loved Jeff’s video about tools and what we need. I have an old house with a barn that’s filled with tools. I like to test them out. I’ll be thinning out my heard that will help me pay for my renovation.😂
  • @bOOmbOOmProd
Came out great. Many ways to do the spacing. Cheers!
  • @JasonPullara
After watchin this several times I can say with absolute confidence that this is not, in fact, a hair styling video.
  • Thank you so much for the amazing videos. They have really been helpful in the renovation that I am in the middle of.
  • You've got amazing "if she doesn't find your handsome. She better find you handy!" Vibes with how you speak. I love it. I miss the red green show lol. That fence set up is pretty slick looking.
  • @1990neill
I think double at the bottom and single at top would look better. gives a more large on bottom to small on top aesthetic that most buildings go with. Such as roofs being pointed, top finish pieces going big to small ect. When on the deck, will probably be sitting most of the time relaxing. more privacy coverage this way too. Either way it came out pretty nice and way too easy lol. Good job on finished product.
