It stills blows my mind how Chuck was able to evolve Death's sound without abandoning their signature style. He was such a genius.
  • @oskulock
Considering Death only did 65 songs in their entire career it's pretty amazing how good this 50 list turned out lol.

Greatest Death Metal band that has ever existed and will ever exist.

Chuck died on the day that i was born. Same year and everything. Just discovered Death like a week ago. I love it. I feel as if I were destined to one day be fucking addicted to this band. I still do not have a favorite song from them.

This just made me go to listen to Death's discography. What an amazing band.

I got to meet the man in 1995. Hung up stairs at the old Peabody's in Cleveland Ohio for about an hour and a half. Chuck was the most humble man who ever walked the Earth. It's not every day you get to meet your idols and I've been playing guitar ever since I discovered him in 1991. The ultimate riffmaster! I have a signed flyer that I laminated when I got to see him on the symbolic tour. It was truly an unforgettable night, I miss him dearly!!!
