Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

Last year I was averaging over 120 on most courses and sliced my driver so much, it make a boomerang jealous. Rick's videos have not only got me hitting straight (most of the time) but I broke 100 for the first time ever this past weekend. Thanks for the awesome tips Rick!

I swear Rick knows exactly what I’m struggling with at any point in time

0:45 - Above your feet 3:59 - Ball below your feet 6:40 - Uphill lie 9:44 - Downhill lie I appreciate your teaching and explanations. They've been incredibly useful to me. Timestamps for people looking for a quick reference.

Just thankful for Rick. That's all. Free content that's worth more than a box of golf balls I would have lost otherwise

You can’t lie that the noise that the club makes when the ball get hit is INSANELY SATISFYING😉
  • I have always struggled with ball above and below my feet and you explained the set up in a very clear way, played 9 today and put it to use and noticed a huge improvement. Thanks Rick!

Rick I must say this is one of the most useful videos you’ve ever made. I struggle with at least two of the four scenarios and will ingrain your four types of shots. Wonderful.
  • @quayinlock
Appreciate the honesty in this video, showing the good shots with the bad! Great tips and a well thought out approach to each shot. Thnx Rick!

Quality Rick Probably the best 13 minute any golfer could ever have 👍👍👍

Rick, best lesson I've seen on this topic and one which most weekend duffers have no clue about. One other thing I was taught about downhill lies is that you should take some practice swings to see where they bottom out. My first couple are always too far behind the ball even if I think I'm set up properly. Would explain some comments here about people chunking shots. Keep up the good work.
  • Thanks so much Rick, I really needed this as I have been struggling with these types of shots; you have provided some great tips which will help me on club selection and set up.

Thanks Rick! More and more your instruction is resonating with me. I like the variety of videos, because they hit all parts of the game and stay fun!

Such high quality, and well organized content. Really appreciate the straightforward practical approach to learning.
  • I love how you explain every shots , even when sometimes you're shots don't go exactly where you want them to ! For us less than perfect players , this makes us feel really good ! We know exactly what you are trying to say and understand what you are trying to show us ! We understand that when we try , it's not going to be perfect, the first time ! My nemesis has always been the downhill lies , you explained it perfectly , how it needs to be played! Thank you , Patrick

This is the best golf lesson video I've seen in a long time In depth instruction on uneven lies. A common problem with most golfers. Great video Rick. Hats off to you.
  • I really love Rick's videos, they are simple, not overly complex like other instructional videos. Golf is a mental game and you take yourself out of the game when you approach the ball and try to think about the 10-20 steps and then shank a slot because you're not swinging freely. Get to the basics and make the tweaks after you become better golfer and watch the 10-20 step videos. I recently got back into golf and got the golf bug. Thanks Rick for your useful instructional videos!
  • @MJ-er5ll
Love the intro, you're amazing, and have a great day😀!
  • @alexxin7091
1:23 almost said "me eight iron" lol it's all good Rick, we know you can't hide your inner English! Cheers!
  • I absolutely love the fact that you call yourself out on those not so good shots ! Your honesty alone would have my subscription. your examples and explanations are simplified and easy to understand. It's a privilege to have had found your channel. I thank you for your time and advise.. Keep up the great work!
  • Rick, this is probably the best video I’ve seen in reference to dealing with different lies. You’ve explained the processes in a way that I’m excited to try them. Thanks again,
