The lyrics are actually super dark. The songs about fame and drug abuse not a lot of people catch that on their first listen but when you go back and listen to the lyrics its pretty dark

One of the coolest songs where the lyrics can be interpreted as so many things and all of them are correct in their own way
  • @soybajo-kira8585
“So high up I’m near divine Lean in, let go I feel fear for the very last time” That’s dark

The sample is also super iconic, i love how orchestral it sounds and what they did with it

I ADORE The Living Tombstone!!!! I recommend, if you want to dive into more of their original music, their original album zero_one and the remix album zero_one: reloaded !!!

The lyrics to this song represent, the pain and anguish of success, the singer has received so much fame and fortune that he now values it over anything else, but is now slowly coming to terms with his morals realizing his mistakes, but at this point the damage has been done and he can't turn back, "Touch me, Midas" imbodies the curse of the golden touch and how the singer at some point was willing to lose it all just to become immortalized, "If I fall, I think I'll fly" means he no longer has to try to do anything, no one recognizes his actual failure and thus fails to appreciate his successes as much, they're just "loving" him because he's popular and are just feeding him lies, this causes him doubt that he can't quite face so just ignores it by living life fast and dangerous, using pain pills and drinking alcohol just to get through the day, which ultimately leads him from being a cute lion (the singer) to a mentally and physically broken substance user who's lost all color.... also the song just slaps
