"It's okay if you're mad" hits me so hard. Because sometimes I am mad and then my family tells me don't be dramatic or stop it. But if two men of my family are arguing then everyone steps aside and never ever tells them to stop. They are also allowed to shout at you and treat you badly because they are in a bad mood.

As a woman in the south asian community, this song speaks volumes. If I was a man, me being independent and living on my own would not be a problem but when I did, everyone questions you and your family thinks you’re being selfish.

People who discredit Taylor Swift for writing only about her exes only shows their complete disregard of her true talent and discography. She's a true musical genius who writes about everything and anything that inspires her. She wrote about her mom, her brother, even about her house (for freakin sake) and even her own experiences on tackling the music world mainly maneuvered by men in this very song and I think it's amazing! I hope her songs will continue to inspire others in one way or another
