Mick Taylor elevated the Stones music with his outstanding lead guitar and slide work!

Yes, a truly underrated guitar player. I reckon Mick Taylor could fit into the top 10 of all time. Jesus, just listen to his stuff...
  • Mick Taylor and Peter Green. Two of the greats and two of my favorites.

An excellent underrated guitar player, and best guitar player Rolling Sones ever had

Also, Mick is a virtuoso at blending jazz and blues into a very sophisticated brew.

Many thanks. Taylor was the inspired choice, just as Wood was a disaster. Says much about where Jagger and Richards were in both stages of the Stones' development.

He did follow great great guitarists not just with John Mayall but with the Stones as well.

Mick is a truly amazing guitar player, wow, just listen to his work with the Rolling Stones.
  • Huh? What about "Blue from Laurel Canyon," probably the coolest album Mayall ever did! I liked what Mich T. said about Mayall's song writing ability. You could drop an armful of dishes and that guy would have a song, a good one, before you picked it all up!

Mayal's song writing skills were something to behold that's for sure, "went to the supermarket one Time to see my baby to tell her get some grapes, went down ect ect
  • John Mayall’s “Blues from Laurel Canyon”..w/Mick Taylor is One of the Greatest Albums Ever....

It's funny to hear Mayall say he chose Taylor because he had a jazzy background. What kind of a background can anyone have at 17 years old?Any musician who has a background that young must be pretty special.

With mic taylor the stones were up there with zepplin, ssbath and floyed in my disturbed mind. Without him not so much. Must be common denominator for guitar addicts.
