In 2017, ABC News' David Muir anchored the network's live coverage of "Great American Eclipse" from Charleston, South Carolina.

He'll be anchoring once again on Monday, April 8, for the historic "Eclipse Across America." Millions are estimated to travel to witness it, while scientists study the effects on Earth's atmosphere.

Watch #EclipseAcrossAmerica, an unprecedented live event broadcasting the rare total eclipse starting on GMA3 and ABC News Live at 1PM ET and continuing on ABC, National Geographic TV, Nat Geo WILD, Disney+ and Hulu at 2PM ET.

It's hard to believe that over 7 years have passed since the 2017 Solar Eclipse. Today is my one and only chance to see one!

🙏💝I’m grateful I was here for it in 2017. We didn’t have a good view today 4/8/2024. But it’s still an amazing experience. 🙏💝

Seeing that it looks cloudy here has me more optimistic about being in Texas. Hope it somehow clears up

Today, folks, do yourself and everyone else a favor during totality and all the effects… watch and LISTEN. If you’re yelling, whooping, hollering, you may not be fully watching but mostly you’re missing out on what everything sounds like around you.
  • I was in Oregon on the coast awesome! I’m in Hawaii now. Saw Mauna Loa eruption. Bucket list, do it!

I wasn’t able to see the full eclipse, but i’m glad others enjoyed it. Can’t wait for another chance for the next total solar eclipse in August 2045. See you guys then.👀🌙
