Elizabeth Taylor, synonymous with captivating beauty and Hollywood glamour, was a force to be reckoned with on and off-screen. Born to American parents in London, her destiny seemed intertwined with the world of cinema. Her acting career began at a tender age, and by her teens, she was captivating audiences with her violet eyes and undeniable screen presence.

Taylor's career flourished in the 1950s when she transitioned from child star to leading lady in beloved films like "National Velvet" and "Father of the Bride." Her talent wasn't limited to charming audiences. She garnered critical acclaim for portraying complex characters in films like "A Place in the Sun" and, later, the iconic "Cleopatra." This role and her subsequent marriage to co-star Richard Burton solidified her status as Hollywood royalty.

Beyond her acting prowess, Taylor's life was a whirlwind of passionate romances, eight marriages in total, which fueled the media frenzy surrounding her. However, her legacy extends far beyond celebrity gossip. She became a powerful advocate for AIDS awareness and research, a cause she championed tirelessly until her passing in 2011.

Elizabeth Taylor's influence transcended the silver screen. She redefined celebrity in an era before the age of social media, captivating the public with her talent, vivacious personality, and philanthropic efforts. Her enduring impact on Hollywood and her unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes solidify her place as a true icon.

She was, and still is, quite literally the most beautiful woman who ever graced the screen.

I knew Elizabeth when I lived in DC in the 1980s. She was a lovely, caring woman she even invited me to a party at their home in Georgetown which was amazing.,

Elizabeth was simply the most beautiful woman, her eyes were violet, she was so unusualy gorgeous, no other starlet could come close.😊

The beauty of her home was it's modesty. Opulent homes can sometimes have a museum like quality. Which can be cold. But there was nothing cold about Elizabeth Taylor's home.
  • @jumaris28
Elizabeth was herself the beauty of that home. No need for any ridiculous extravaganza!!! 💜💜💜

I worked for her when she first moved in to the home after she bought the house from Nancy Sinatra and is only a stones throw from the Reagan`s house . These photos look like the same ones in the real estate ads .

A fan letter to Elizabeth brought a generous response, which resulted in an ongoing correspondence until shortly before her passing. After first letter, her responses came directly from 700 Nimes Road. When I attempted to call Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation for address to send a memorial contribution the call went directly to a security guard at the residence. He gave me the office address. We had a lengthy conversation about Elizabeth. He choked up obviously feeling a personal appreciation. As Rock Hudson once said, Elizabeth Loves people. To truly understand her passion, see Elizabeth Taylor accepts Jean Herscholt Award. Her famed physical beauty was genuinely exceeded by the Beauty of her heart and soul. I feel deeply honored to have had this privilege of contact with her and some respect having been welcomed into 700 Nimes Road. Unfortunately I understand the house has been demolished with a new Residence taking its place. RIP dearest Dame Elizabeth. Your legacy will never be lost! Although a DAME, Elizabeth will always be QUEEN of the screen, but more importantly, QUEEN 👸 of HEARTS 💕 💜 💖! 🕊 🕊 🕊
  • Yes Elizabeth Taylor is still the world’s most beautiful woman in the world 🌎 nobody will ever be like her she is gorgeous even in heaven she will always be beautiful 🤩 I thought she would live a long life maybe 100 years because I thought she was strong rest in peace Elizabeth Taylor

What can I say but perfection. The Woman lived a wonderful life and her house just reflects her personality. Nothing like the vacuous personalities that we have now living on their over the top places.
  • @fob1xxl
Quite exquisite. Not like the typical in your face gosh mansions we see from most tasteless celebrities. Beautifully done. Befitting a Star of her caliber.
  • @jeanjearman2025
You can see her love for the edifying beauty of nature brought into her home.

"Surprisingly modest" as those who knew her described is is correct; Taylor's home was not "opulent", or "lavish" as described in the video. I am familiar with the house and what it really shows in interior design is the woman herself; you can get an understanding of who she really was by the home: it is absolutely beautiful and charming, but never in a pretentious way. It was meant to be lived in with friends, dogs, and her family. The superb art collection is the legacy of her adored father, who was an art dealer. She loved beauty with soft colors inside, and bright colorful gardens, and it was all very serene, relaxed and joyful. It also is very much like old Beverly Hills, before the marble and gilt took over.Thats where she grew up, and in this home just near Beverly Hills in the hills of Bel Air on a winding road is this very special oasis.

Surprisingly unpretentious and modest, with her personal touch, precious antique and art pieces, treasured memories and very much home, cozy atmosphere. It's not about aesthetic per se - it's about making a house, regardless of it's style and size - a home. One might've expected something way more gaudy, over the top lavish, but it's nothing like that. Very homey, cozy place that speaks about her personality perhaps somewhat unexpected story.
  • @davidcattin7006
Very livable. The gardens are stunning; I'd be there all day long. Other than the wall-to-wall shag carpet, decidedly NOT very Bel Air, there isn't much I would change. Now, if only I had the money.... Never stop dreaming!

I think Elizabeth's house is beautiful. And Yes I would Love to see it. 💜💜💜💜
