I just love this Ferry Corsten mix, and I`m 77. Never too old for this kind of great music.

3:20 When I heard that base come in for the first time in a club in '99, I almost collapsed. Me and my mate looked at each other with an agony/ecstasy (pun intended) look on our faces and simultaneously mouthed, What the fuck?!". Both continuing to look at each other, almost for confirmation that we are definitely conscious and definitely hearing and feeling this right now. 30 seconds later, the tune dropped for real and the place..... erupted and I mean erupted. Everyone was swept away and dancing and bouncing and screaming and crying to this tune in one blissful shared experience. Life is never quite the same after you experience that and this tune still does it for me literally every time for 22 years now. People say that they don't appreciate what they have but in the late 90s I knew I was living in the middle of something special and soaked up and appreciated every last second. Truly amazing times.
  • Samuel Barber could never have imagined how iconic his music would be. Only 42 years ago he died but his legacy lives on through remixes.

This track, to me is almost spiritual. It was phenomenal when it 1st came out and it's still phenomenal now.

June 2024 and still loving this absolutely beautiful mix.. The man, the myth, the LEGEND 💙
  • This is one of those rare pieces of trance that literally lift your out of your body every time.

3:57 was the point when everything in reality disappears, and it's just you and the music taking to a place deep in your own mind😃 Some might call it a glimpse of Heaven through the window of the Soul. This is real Trance

Definitely something spiritual about this. 24 years later and it still makes my spine shiver
  • @LiftFan
From a time when music in clubs had proper soul to them, making you feel more emotions than just jumping around
  • In my opinion, the greatest ever trance tune. Some great other versions, but this one really stands out! My favourite ever tune! Untouchable

I wonder if William Orbit and then Ferry Corsten getting his hands on it ever realised what they’d done when they made this? I also think it should have been made an offence for anyone else to mess once this had been produced……..Yes Tiesto I’m looking at you!!!

Nothing like a Friday night dancing in the kitchen to this classic

Respect to the original version by Samuel Barber. These are all great songs.
